Buffalo Wild Wings — Restaurant in Berwyn

Happen to be in the area and had a craving for wings. We drove all the way from the city and didn't want to get stuck in traffic. There's a small parking lot in the back. It was a long walk to the entrance which on Cermak.

Upon entering you can see that it is pretty big inside. It wasn't that busy since it was a little after 4pm. There were 2 girls behind the counter. A few people were waiting but they didn't acknowledge us. I guess they only help to go orders. I asked one of them if we have to wait to be seated. She said yes. We like to watch whatever game is on the big screen tv's so we'd prefer to sit at the bar. When it was our turn the server asked where we'd like to be seated. We said at the bar. She said to seat ourselves. Why didn't the girls at the counter tell us that.

We seated ourselves at the bar. It took a while for the bartender/ server to wait on us. We had already grabbed menus that were lying around. Since it was Tuesday we were here for the BOGO regular wings. Plus, it was happy hour. We ordered the Wild Herd kölsch by Goose Island for $3. Huge glass!!! We each ordered 10 wings. I had to ask what sauces were included: 2 per order. He asked us if we preferred blue cheese or ranch with our celery and carrots. We get both flavors.

After a short while our wings arrive. The food runner places our food down, but we don't have any napkins, utensils, nor wet naps. He struggles with our request. Looking around the bar area and ends up giving us plastic to go forks & knives inside a plastic bag with one napkin not real cutlery. We dig in. The wings were delicious!!! Decent size. Freshly fried so they were still crispy even though they were covered in sauce.

Our bartender wasn't around. The other workers were busy (or just ignoring us). Finally our bartender comes back. We ask for our check. Told him that I'm a BWW member. He asked me to put my number on the receipt so he could enter it so I'd get the discount. I get the modified check. I don't see the discount. A manager or a more experienced associate explained that there was a BOGO 50% already taken. Being a member allowed me to get another 50% making it BOGO free.

Despite the initial confusion and unpredictable service, I would still go to this location if I was...

Management sub-par performance is worthy of a poor review because my experience was so lousy.

I went with traditional wings 15 ct.. 5 were naked. 5 were Asian zing 5 were Jammin Jalapeño

From the moment the food came out my sense of smell detected something was off.

I had to stop eating my meal , the 2 flavors were slightly co-mingled and the smell and taste was driving me mad..

I took to google to see if a sauce had changed flavor , I spoke to my server to bring me a side of jammin jalapeño because I needed to compare it to whatever was on my wings.

They had put Caribbean Jerk sauce on my wings and basically ruined my experience because then everything smelled like and tasted like it.

Nope Im not a glutton for punishment I stopped eating the wings left 4 out of 10 on the tray

I thought labeling was important in the food service industry , like points are deducted from scores by the sanitation department if anything is not clearly labeled

Management in my opinion should have taken a stronger stance and advocated for me and given me a better resolution.

WHAT SHOULD HAVE HAPPENED

Dear sir we are so sorry with your experience, we have talked to the kitchen staff about striving for 100 % accuracy , this should never have happened.

Knocking off an appetizer from my bill was an insult.

They should have just charged me for 5-6 wings and not for 15

After all the tater tots weren't at fault

And they shouldn't have to ask someone how to make things right , they should've given me a voucher to give them a chance on my following visit to make things right.

They soured my day and cared more about their bottom line ( PROFIT ) vs customer satisfaction.and getting repeat visits

They were company men , proud and boastful that they had done the right thing and saved the company's or owners profit.

I became just a number in the loss column not a person , a Zero to the left having no...

I forgot to check the reviews before coming here...Seeing the 1.5 on YELP makes sense now. Never again.. and I'm gonna keep telling people NOT to come here. My boyfriend and I decided to come watch the soccer final of England vs Italia, since we went to a bdubs on the north side to watch a soccer game a month ago and really liked the experience we had. We should've checked the reviews; the difference between our experience at the north side location vs the experience we had at this location was extremely noticeable!! Right away, we were sat a table that still had fresh water rings on the top letting me know that they DIDNT clean the table beforehand. That concerns me because it's still covid times ppl! The next thing I noticed and was disgusted about was that the menus they gave us were dirty too!! They were wet and sticky!! at the north side location they didn't even have physical menus, they had the menus as scannable QR codes! A much safer, cleaner option regarding covid! Another unfortunate thing was that our waitress was really rude! Her attitude was very noticeably unwelcoming. She brought us our first drinks without any napkins, so the table top got pretty wet. She brought us our first appetizer and still no napkins. She brought our second appetizer, which was the cauliflower wings, and STILL no napkins OR utensils! At the north side location we were being tended to constantly, and we were given plenty of napkins and right away we were given utensils so this very upsetting to see not happening at the Berwyn location. Also, we had asked for ranch and blue cheese with our cauliflower wings but we never got those! We asked her if they could turn up the sound for the game a little more and that request was never fulfilled. After about 30 minutes of being there, my boyfriend noticed a smell, that I eventually noticed afterwards. The place smelled like sweaty socks!! We didn't even finish watching...
