Let's Eat!!! I Have Family In Gastonia I Was Visiting One Weekend When We Drove Past This Restaurant. I Asked My Aunt How Was The Food? She Replied With Big Eyes " Don't Go To That Restaurant, Their Prejudice, They Hate Black People" I Asked Her. You've Eaten There? She Responded, No I Heard This. So I Didn't Respond. A Few Weeks Later I Was In Gastonia For Work & Asked A Colleague Where I Could Go To Get A Good Burger? She Stated McDonald's Family Restaurant. I Didn't Realize It Was The Same Place My Aunt Warned Me To Stay Away From Until I Drove In The Parking Lot. I Sat There. And Decided I Want To See For Myself If They Really Hated Black People Like She Stated. I Went In , Stood In Line Looking Around. No One In There Looked Like Me. After A Few Seconds Two Women Eating Complimented Me On My Shoes. Very Friendly. Then It Was My Turn To Order. I Got A Medium Burger & Fries. The Gentleman At The Register Was Extremely Friendly & Polite. Total Price $13.00 $16 To Include A Drink. I Thought This Was A Bit High. Maybe A Handful Of Fries, Small Burger Which Was Extremely Bland. However I Proved My Auntie Wrong! They Don't Hate Black People. You Can't Believe Everything You Hear! Found this little gem just driving through from one town to the next and it seemed to have plenty of business inside and drive-through and we love to find these little town diners and try them out (which is usually hit or miss) but this one was a great find and it's American family owned. The people were super nice and so on top of it- we said our drink and like a split second later it was right in front of us (speediest service ever) and the man taking our order was so nice and personable. It was a real pleasure to go there and if I see a chuck wagon steak on a menu which is rare to find these days so I always have to get it and it was the best chuckwagon sandwich I have ever had- pure quality (unlike most other places these days that have cheapened all their products for higher profit and it shows). My mother also had a BBQ plate and loved it and I had corn nuggest with my sandwhich which were delightful- I also appreciate how they let you substitute the fries for any other side items cause that's another thing that places aren't allowing for as much these days either. My favorite restaurant. My great grandfather would get us food from there frequently when I was a kid.

A couple of weeks ago, my grandmother (who's visiting from out of state) and I went to McDonald's in Bessemer City and got a full order for ourselves and friends.

The staff were so nice and kind.

The food was PERFECT. It made me nostalgic, as I hadn't had this restaurant's food since way before my great grandpa passed away in 2013.

We just stopped going, at some point. It was very pleasant getting food from there again. Just like the customer service, the food was Immaculate.

The restaurant is exceptional and I'm so happy they're still operating and feeding the community such great food. And they REALLY love to see you smile.

They have the Real Deal when it comes to Food. I highly recommend McDonald's Family Restaurant.
