What happened to this place? It used to be amazing.
I order tonight, get quoted 45 or 46 something, I only remember the exact amount but it was mid 40s. I get told 45 minutes for delivery. I call after an hour and they tell me they are really busy tonight and are just now making my order and it would be 20 more minutes. They should have told me when I ordered they were busy but that's not even the worse part. Then it takes another 45 minutes for my food the get delivered and the receipt is for $60! I called, they tried making every excuse they could including "I must have been looking at an old menu." I asked how that has anything to do with the price THEY quoted me. Were they looking at an old menu? Additionally, every bit of our food was ice cold. I had to reheat everything to feed my family. They gave me a 20 dollar credit on my next order. I MIGHT order 20 bucks worth of food just to use my credit and then that will be the last time I order from...
Read moreI'm not one to give bad reviews. I ordered delivery and got an estimated time of 40-50 minutes. 1 hour and 15 minutes later I called to check on my order. I was told it was on the way. I live literally 3 minutes away from the place. 1 hour and 30 minutes after ordering I called again to check on my order, as if the driver was otw he should have arrived. I was told it was almost done and would be leaving soon (???). I said okay. 2 hours after ordering I received my food. I was going to be fine and just eat my food, so I began. I found a hair on my sweet and sour chicken but I thought it was my girlfriend's and dismissed it. Then 1/4 through my lo mein I took a bite and was confused because it was attached to the noodles in the container and I realized I had a hair in my mouth that went into the noodles, deep in the container. It was undoubtedly not my girlfriend's hair. I spat my food out and got angry and so I wrote this. I'm...
Read moreReviews for this place are either 5-star or 1-star. Which is odd. The food is okay. The customer service is terrible. So I am gonna hit the middle and give it a three. Here is why. Caveat emptor ordering online. Although their service company requires your credit card information, the restaurant insists they don't have the credit information. Which means if you are billed twice, then it is your problem. Why should customers pay a service fee and a forced tip to order online when you can call the order in via phone? Just seems like something is amiss. The restaurant has a young boy (like really young... elementary school age) as their front facing employee. When a conflict regarding payment developed, the adults got involved but didn't seem to listen. Honestly, there are much better Chinese options in Alton, so who...
