El Nopal Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Bethany

I gave it a one star because that is the lowest it would let me go. We ordered our food and drinks got our drinks right away, but no food. Two tables came in about 20 minutes after us they ordered and got their food rather fast. every time we tried to flag down someone they just kept on going. About 45 minuets later we finally got someone to come our way and it was the same person that took our order. when he got to our table he asked (are you ready to order?) wow!!! We travel through Bethany quite often I think it’s time to find somewhere else to stop and eat from now on. I heard there is a nice place in Pattonsburg just a few more miles...

Not only did my husband and I get deathly ill from eating this food but when I called the restaurant the young man on the phone asked me if I had proof that their food made us sick. We ignored the fact that the food was nothing close to "Mexican" food. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR, DONT EAT AT THIS RESTAURANT. We stayed at the quality Inn across the street and the ladies at the front desk told me her and her husband have been sick as well from their food. Really unfortunate that the customer service i received this morning was very poor, my intentions were to warn the restaurant mgr to check the food we ate not to be verbally assaulted....

Left a 25% tip, they earned it. Food was great, they asked about dessert (which is great because it's ridiculous how many restaurants just give you the check after your entree, and we forgot all about it so it was great to actually enjoy desser), every staff member that helped us asked how we were doing, they made sure the food was good, they were courteous when I couldn't talk right because I'm tired, double checked if I had enough creamer for my coffee (again, a small thing that really makes a difference in a busy day).
