Oh boy, where do I even begin with this buffet? It's like a food lover's paradise on steroids! From the moment I walked in, my taste buds were doing a happy dance. The sheer variety of dishes was mind-boggling, like a culinary adventure waiting to happen.
Let's talk about the starters, shall we? They were so good, they should come with a warning label: "Dangerously delicious!" I couldn't resist going back for seconds (or thirds, who's counting?). The main course was a symphony of flavors, with each dish showcasing its own unique personality. It was like a foodie's dream come true.
And the desserts? Oh my goodness, they were straight out of a sugar lover's fairy tale. I'm convinced that the pastry chef must be some kind of dessert wizard because those sweet treats were nothing short of magical. My taste buds were so happy, they threw a little party in my mouth.
But it's not just the food that deserves praise; it's the whole experience. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure that every guest felt like a VIP. The ambiance was warm and inviting, creating the perfect backdrop for a memorable dining experience.
So, if you're looking for a buffet that will make your taste buds tango and leave you with a smile on your face, look no further. This place is a culinary gem that will satisfy even the pickiest of eaters. Just be warned: you might need to loosen your belt a notch or two....
Read moreHonest review here. VERY GOOD! - We ate at Toot-Toot for the first time on our way to Kansas City and it was so good we had to stop again on our way back. The food is delicious! The only item that I thought could be better, was the fried catfish. The breading is heavy on the cornmeal. Some people I'm sure prefer that but being born and raised on the bayou in Louisiana we use less cornmeal and more flour. It makes for a lighter, crisper breading and allows the catfish taste and seasoning to come through. Whereas, a heavier cornmeal breading has the flavor of cornmeal come through. So, yeah it is a personal choice but that's why it threw my taste buds off some. The filets were a very good quality of catfish. But everything was really very good.. The fried chicken, green beans, hashbrowns, fried shrimp, greens, and more. My top 3 favorite items overall were: #1) BREAD PUDDING!! #2) Fried chicken #3) Hashbrowns. *Honorable Mention #1) Fresh rolls with soft butter. **Honerable Mention #2) Freshly sliced tomatoes. *Also, the Sweet Tea is very, very good. If you like sweet tea, you'll love theirs! WE'LL DEFINITELY BE EATING THERE AGAIN EACH AND EVERY TIME WE MAKE THAT TRIP TO KANSAS CITY AND BACK!

Read moreMy friend and I stopped in at this place due to her(my friend's) recommendation for lunch, arriving at about 10:30 AM. My friend is a local and of course very supportive of locally owned small businesses. We both ordered the buffet. At first glance I thought the food on the buffet looked appetizing however no labels on any of the food choices. After tasting the overly salty fish I had a change of mind. I finished what I'd placed on my plate and didn't return to the buffet for another plate. I ate a few pieces of batter fried fish, a few pieces of batter fried shrimp, boiled green beans with bacon and boiled baby beets. The fish and shrimp was not at serving temperature and seemed too cold. The shrimp was overcooked and greasy. As aforementioned, the fish was salty. The vegetables were okay however, also tasted too cold. Our waitress and other restaurant staff seemed courteous and provided prompt service. The overall cleanliness also seemed fair. I personally didn't appreciate the smell of an old momma/papa restaurant however the smell didn't seem to bother my friend. The price of the buffet was fair. If I visit this eating establishment in the future I'll obligingly and politely provide interface communication improvement...
