We really wanted to love this place but everything about it was horrible. Made reservations for (4) as a date night at the "new contemporary sports bar" on Main Street and really looked forward to trying this place. The hostess was clueless when we checked in and after looking for our table reported the update to the wrong group and was confused when they told her that they were not part of the reservation.
Once we got seated, there was no drink menu so when our server came, she did have to get one for us (NBD- it just took A LONG time for her to come back every time). It was not that busy of a time but it was clear the staffing was not adequate or competent.
The bruschetta app was wonderful but we had no app plates or appropriate eating utensils (so our server came to the table and dumped a pile of knives and forks that could have been enough for the whole restaurant) and eventually brought us dirty plates to eat the app off.
We were still just starting our app when the main course came out and they started taking our plates with the apps to make room for our food. The shrimp tacos were atrocious. I did read other reviews that said they were good- they were not. Shrimp was rubbery, over cooked and was nothing at all what I was expecting. I would bet they were frozen shrimp that was microwaved. Besides shrimp on the tacos, it was lettuce and cut tomatoes with a squirt of cilantro sauce from a bottle. Nothing about these tacos were special or made me feel like I went "out to eat." I am not a "Foodie" but these were horrible. One of the other people in my party got the same and agreed. We really couldn't even eat our dinner.
Finally, our check came and was just thrown on the table. It was not in a receipt holder but -whatever. Either way- it was not our check and since our waitress was constantly MIA, I had to go up to the hostess to request a new one.
With all of the delays checking in to be seated, waiting for essentials to eat (plates and utensils), and waiting for our real check; we were in and out in 45 mins. It was the worse dining experience I can recall to date. Typically, I am not one to take time to review but this place was horrendous. Does not deserve to be on Main Street in Bethlehem. You can read positive reviews here and maybe you are into this type of experience but it was far from what we had. I can not imagine this will survive as a dining experience in this location. Maybe the club at night- but this place needs to work out too many issues to be considered a desirable place to eat. For too...
Read moreHello, when I first went to 515 it was great I always bought a drink with a card with no issues every single time until one day a male Caucasian bartender got attitude with me and lied to me and told me that there is a $10 cover charge. I know this is a lie because the rest of my friends that bought a drink that was less than $10 paid with card and he gave them no problems but as soon as he saw me a African-American he told me that there was a $10 cover fee when all I wanted it was just a corona with lime this came out to five dollars. He told me that I would have to keep my card open tap for the $10 cover charge. I told him OK the bartender charge me $30 and then after that he told me that the payment did not go through. I was showing him on my phone that the payment went through and it went through twice And then he caught an attitude with me and he said it’s just whatever just go so I went and then I came back to him and I told him he listen you guys overcharge me and he said yes there is a $25 cover fee but you guys have charge me $30 twice later on a couple days later I’ve gotten in my refund but this service was incredibly disrespectful and it should be dealt with if there is a $10 cover fee with card. There should be a sign for everybody to know about the $10 cover fee with card if there is no sign that saying that there is a $10 cover fee, this should...
Read moreCame here for the first time with my wife today. Wasn't horrible, but not someplace I'd come back to again. The music was way too loud for a Sunday afternoon. If you want to chill and enjoy a drink and some food, sitting outside is the only option. Otherwise, you're going to leave with a massive headache. I counted atleast 3 groups that decided to not go in because the music was overwhelming. The problem is, who's going to stop a DJ who's feeling himself on a Sunday afternoon from going overboard with his set? I think that the owner needs to decide if this is a bar or a club. If I was intending to go to a club with my wife it's possible that we wouldn't have been as disappointed (even though i wasnt feeling the music, volume notwithstanding). I'm not a prude by an means. I grew up in NYC and have done my share of partying. Unfortunately, I'm not sure that this place fits Main Street Bethlehem. The wine bar that was there previously was definitely a better fit...
