Szot’s Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Big Rapids

We walked in and nobody was around and there were no signs saying to wait to be seated or to seat yourself. Although we went at an off time around 2pm, with no workers in sight we stood around for a minute or two before sitting down. When the server came to our table we ordered a Labatt and a two hearted. The labatt was good however the two hearted was mostly foam and tasted old and stale. The server said they would bring some more since there was a lot of foam and the second glass looked very similar and tasted old and stale as well. The broccoli cheese soup we got tasted good and we both enjoyed our burgers especially for the low price but I would not recommend ordering beer from here. This place has one of the BEST BURGERS! I have had just the regular bacon cheese burger and their patty melt and let me tell you OMG🤤 the swirled rye bread is amazing that they use for their patty melt! Usually I always have to ask for it to be extra toasted from anywhere I get it, not here! It's crispy every time and when I ask for extra pickle 🥒 I get it! They serve me to perfection every single time so far and I just want to say thank you! I order them both the same way every time I order, but they never get it wrong. Food was alright I just got a burger, not many options for food, burger hot dog chicken sandwich soup salad grilled cheese etc, no appetizers or fried foods sandwiches served with chips. There was only one lady running the whole bar/floor so we were there for about an hour wait for what we thought would be a quick bite to eat while passing through on a long road trip, good food but was definitely a place for the locals to grab a beer and the soup of the day but was cheap and did the trick less than $40...
