McDonald's — Restaurant in Billerica

I came here on a Thursday morning around 10 and it wasn't busy.... But for some reason it took 15 minutes to make an order there was FIVE workers 3 behind the counter and one younger gentleman walking through the restaurant not sure what he was doing perhaps trying to waste time and not serve us then there was one other gentleman outside smoking a cigarette! So during this i ended up going to the kiosk because there was another older woman in front of us with her husband who is also waiting to order finally a woman came and took the order and then it was our turn. We ordered 3 Sausage McGriddles and 2 hash browns and a side of one syrup, they took about 5 minutes to make it which wasn't bad and that's the reason why I gave them a star because they made it quick,

I also want to add that the place legitimately smelled like cat litter and cat poop! ( I know what that smells like because I grew up with cats my whole life and even though I currently do not own a cat I remember the smell and when I tell you that's how it smell that I'm telling no lie) the employee gentleman that was outside smoking overheard me telling my companion that it smelled like "cats" replied in defense that the 'maintenance worker' doesn't do quote and quote s*! And that he's going to fix it right now... when I got home and I tried my McGriddles they tasted fine so my only beef with them is the wait time in the nonchalant non-caring customer service that they offered us I will not be returning to this location...

Can you give a rating less than 1? Because this location DESERVES IT. Just had the most horrible experience. Not only did the employees have no control over the double lane ordering system and forgot about one lane altogether, but there was a queue of about 30 cars and I waited over 30 minutes to get my order. Once I got home, I realized it was completely Wrong (just 2 McGriddles... How do you mess that up?) so I called to see what can be done. I was told to come back to the location and go through the drive thru to correct it, so I did. Another 10 minutes waiting and then I was told to COME INSIDE for a refund because they can't give me my original order?! Something about how it's shut off for the day?? I had to walk inside and then wait for someone to process my refund, which was also sketchy. One person said I had so sign something, and the person handling the refund just gave me a receipt... I had to ask if I needed so sign it, and she said no, then I said the other employee said otherwise... She left and came back with a pen for me to sign...Incredibly unprofessional and handled poorly. I had to repeatedly ask for a copy of the receipt as well as it seemed like they didn't want me to report this. So all in all, I wasted an hour and a half of my free time, gas money, and I don't even have my food. This location is a poor representation of what McD...

• UPDATED POST ** I'll update my post for now. There is very clearly a new crew there and it is night and day. We went from 5 people gathered around a window trying to figure out an order to a normal operation. I have only been back once and want to at least give them credit. If I'm there again and the service is consistent, I'll update. But so far, so much better.

Still unnecessary expensive...

• ORIGINAL POST ** If you want to go to this location, do not go through the drive through. The level of incompetence is beyond comprehension. God forbid you have to go somewhere. Why does it take 4 people standing around to confirm your order at the window AND STILL HAVE IT BE WRONG.... some days are better than others. And they have staff that is friendly, but overextended. Other days are utter garbage.

With all that said, when you do go inside, the place is clean. Nice setting for a quick cheat meal.

And why is it cheaper for me to go somewhere like Five Guys than McDonald's?!?!?!?

I digress...

If you find yourself annoyed with foolishness, proceed here with caution. And the understanding that you will probably leave annoyed.
