I have come here two times now. Once in dec of 2014 and again april 2018, yesterday. Both times have been great experiences. Friendly staff, great service and prices are on point. I havent done the hibachi yet but I think next time I will for sure. Both times there was lots of laughter and happy bday songs sung through out the night coming from the hibachi tables. Nothing but fun and cheeriness. Even tho it got loud, if you are sitting in the back at the regular tables, there was still a sense of privacy and intimacy. The decor is gorgeous. This time around we came per request of my daughter for her bday meal in a group of 6, I think last year time it was my birthday meal. Heres an idea of our meal from what I can remember. We got 2 hibachi sides (salmon and fried rice), a chicken hibachi meal with noodles and white rice. This meal also came with soup and a salad if I am correct. We got the rice ball appetizer which was BOMB!, The soft shell crab appetizer (also bomb), we got the california roll dinner (came with 3 rolls and served with salad and soup), an order of Ika (squid) sashimi, a maki combo dinner (3 rolls served with soup and a salad) A spider maki roll, a california roll, a sweet potato roll, a salmon hand roll and a tuna roll. Aside from all the food we got 2 scorpion bowls for 1, tea, and 4 soft drinks. The order total was about 148.00, not including tip, so around 178. I know 148 may seem like a lot but the food was exceptional, the staff was exceptional and also extremely patient as my daughter had trouble deciding what to order. The food was made quick and although the little ones got their food last (not intential by the staff or cook), the kids joked about being starving and the staff joked and laughed with them which seemed to keep their bellies patient and their sense of humor hearty. We had an all around pleasent time! Bathrooms were clean. We were the last there and as it was approaching closing time we never felt rushed. Cant wait to come back. Thanks everyone for helping to make our night pleasant and...
Read moreWe are a family of sushi lovers, and look forward to trying a different AYCE sushi every new year. Today, we decided to try out 7 Nana AYCE sushi lunch, and were so severely disappointed. For starters, they did not bring us our soups, and missed almost all of our appetizers. We ordered two plates of shrimp tempura, one of which came freezer cold and unfried. When we brought this up to the manager, she said that the shrimp tempura is cooked and it just needs to be fried, so we couldn't say the shrimp tempura was uncooked. When asked if she'd personally eat the shrimp tempura straight out of the freezer, she said yes. Ridiculous.
As for the sushi itself, we could barely eat 4 pieces each. My little brother, who is an avid sushi lover, spit out his first piece and could not eat any more. The rest of us tried our best to eat the rest (since they charge for uneaten food), but when we tried the filling inside the rolls, it GENUINELY tasted like nothing. The spicy salmon roll, usually my favorite, had filling that tasted like pure oil. Not to mention, the rolls were huge, not because of the filling, but because they were 80% rice. That, combined with the awful meat, made this a terrible experience.
We did speak to the manager about this, and she was flippant and dismissive. There was no compensation, no apology, and we left hungry, dissatisfied, and $80 poorer. Seriously...
Read moreI really don’t like writing negative reviews, but I want to be honest in case it helps someone else make a decision.
We went to 7 Nana Japanese Steakhouse and sat in the dinner section instead of hibachi because we were mainly there to try the sushi. The host was super sweet and welcoming, which I appreciated right away. But our server seemed a little annoyed—maybe we took too long to order, but it definitely felt rushed and a bit uncomfortable.
The restaurant didn’t feel very clean, and honestly the worst part for me was the water. It tasted like it had been soaking in brown paper towels before being served. I know that sounds dramatic, but it was really off-putting.
Half of our table ordered entrees (not sushi) and got their food about 10 minutes before the rest of us got our sushi, which made things kind of awkward. The sushi was just okay. I usually love the pickled ginger, but I couldn’t even finish it—it had a strange flavor I didn’t enjoy.
People at the hibachi tables seemed to be having fun, and I think we might’ve had a better time if we’d gone for that or tried their unlimited sushi lunch instead. I really wanted to enjoy it, but I ended up feeling sick on the way home, and that kind of sums...
