Best bowl of Pho in all of MT! Coming from Cali its difficult to find really good Pho places. Theres quite a few around town but none of them offer Pho with all the meat options like Tripe and Brisket! The brisket meat was perhaps the best I have... ever. Its tender and melts in your mouth.
Theres a few items like vermicelli and roasted chicken that used to be on the menu. But when I asked about it the owner told me they didnt sell well. Which is unfortunate but hey! Some of the best Pho joints I've been to only carry pho as well so no complaints.
There's a little side asian store next to the restaurant. I believe its owned by the same owner. Theres not really a sign so its easy to miss. Its a small store but its packed with goodies from essential asian spices to yummy snacks to an assortment of frozen seafood you cannot get anywhere else. Compared to Amaya up in the hights I'd say this store carries a little more Chinese/Vietnamese goods rather than Filipino. Just remember to stop by the ATM beforehand as it...
Read moreVery disappointed with this restaurant since the reviews were so good. We were walk-ins ordering take out, and were told the order would be ready in about 15 minutes. It took 45 minutes. The restaurant was so dirty I considered cancelling my order. I figured if the front of house was that dirty, what was the kitchen like? The walls, front door handles and the floor were literally sticky with grime. Also, the building is very small (felt like a hole in the wall place) and had no A/C. Had to have been 75+° on there. Very uncomfortable. The people were very friendly which earned them 1 of the 2 stars The entree was good (not great) but the portions were very small compared to the price. We purchased 2 entrees which came with soup, salad and rice. See photos for portions. Unfortunately, I didn't get pictures of the main course but you can get an idea of the portion size with the soup and salad. This order cost $52! Way, way, way better options for Japanese steakhouse are available...
Read moreI get it. Your truck didn't arrive with product for meals. Instead of apologizing and substituting several things, Albertsons and Target are right down the street. No been sprouts so cabbage was substituted. No Vietnamese mint so it was substituted with cilantro. No eel sauce, so sweet & sour sauce was substituted. Normally, we get salad with onion dressing. Nope. That was not an option. Yet, we were still charged full price for EVERYTHING!!! We will likely not return to Samurai. I said this before when they didn't have air conditioning, but I still returned. Not this time. The servers were very disorganized. There was a problem in the kitchen so we were shuffled off to another host. We were served by three or four girls. We felt like we were their tips and that was it. Where is the personable attitude? Hopefully, the new addition to your restaurant helps out. The value here has gotten weak....
