This is the email I sent to the company and the reply was thanks for the email: I wanted to express my disappointment with your tasting room. My family (6 of us) payed for your premium tasting and had a great time. The menu we were given had member prices and non member prices. At no the end of the menu were discount prices for cases so we ask Sam if we buy 2 Cases do we get the 20 percent off and he said yes. Being non members we assumed the was 20 percent off the non member prices. We decided to buy 2 cases. Nobody would help us get the 24 bottles so we searched around for the bottles (which was difficult because my parents are handicapped). When we got to the register we were told that we don’t get that discount. I went back to Sam And he said the menu was for members only (even though it has prices for both) and said we don’t get the 20 percent off even though he told us yes earlier. After spending $150 for the tasting I’m disappointed about the lack of help and poor communication. So instead of buying 24 bottles and we were talking about looking into the membership we bought nothing and will never be back.
I never received an apology from the company. If this is how they do business they will learn that treating customers like this will hurt the bottom line. What they did not is one of the people with us is opening a 7 million dollar wine bar in Detroit and was considering them for an...
Read moreI came to the Inn for our annual girls trip. We have been to the tasting room in the past and we usually go to TC every year but wanted something different. It was an excellent change of pace. The grounds are beautiful, the wine is amazing, but above all DAVID was the highlight of our trip. He anticipated every one of our needs and was super attentive. There was always fresh coffee outside of our door, wine glasses were always topped of at the cocktail hour and he seemed to always be there just when we needed something. Black Star Farms You have a Gem! We also rented the pavilion and had the charcuterie board and wine which was amazing. Chris was our host there and he was excellent. We even got a surprise visit from the Wine maker. We ate at the cafe and the pizza was so good, and I wish that I could remember the waitress' name because she was SO much fun! My only suggestion is that for a girls trip, make sure there is enough of the regular beds, because the pull out was not comfortable at all. I think this would be an absolutely amazing romantic...
Read moreWe did a cooking class with Chef John, as well as a flight sampling. As far as the tasting, the staff kept honing in further and further on our tastes preferences, offering additional samples, until we settled on two wines we couldn’t leave without, but hadn’t initially chosen in our flight. As far as the cooking class - What a fun atmosphere and experience! The cooking class was phenomenal! Chef John is so personable and talented. It’s a laid back environment with hands on experience, but one where you can really ask questions and gain insight. We had a great, friendly group of participants. It was fun getting to know others and hearing about their cooking experience, both at home and with Chef John. It was our first cooking class, which initially seemed a bit intimidating, however Chef John put us at ease very quickly, setting the atmosphere for the next 4 hours. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend doing this experience and are looking forward to doing more...
