Benny's Off the Water — Restaurant in Birdseye

I had a fairly poor experience on delivery, value and preparation. The atmosphere was great, the staff courteous, but it took a FULL HOUR to get a less than great Grilled Cheese and Grilled Chicken salad, when just 75% of the tables were filled.

I was excited about the grilled cheese, the option for American or Pepper Jack cheese on Texas Toast, YAY! What I got was two pieces of Texas Toast with one very thin slice of cheese. So in effect I got a mouthful of bread with a hint of cheese. Think of those wrapped single slices you can buy in the supermarket, just one slice of cheese. Even if it were a typical thin white bread, the single slice of cheese still would have been overwhelmed. I would have easily paid more than the 7.95 to get a decent amount of cheese.

The Grilled Chicken salad was small. Delivered in about an 8 inch bowel, one quarter filled. Think of about two thirds of a McDonald's salad, but for 10.95. Two packets of Marzetti salad dressing were generously provided, but there was so little salad it was almost drowned by half of one packet.

Went camping at Patoka Modern Campground, was really wanting a pizza before heading to the beach. Husband ordered the chicken bacon ranch pizza and I ordered the Buffalo Chicken dip pizza. Put in an order of kids chicken bites with fries and a water. The pizzas were not great at all. The CBR pizza only had that with little to no sauce on the pizza, and no taste of ranch really. The BCD pizza was disgusting, globs of cream cheese all over the pizza. Would have been better if it was mixed together well and then put on the pizza. But there was no kick to the BCD like there would be in a dip with chips. I wish I wouldn’t have ordered that, barely got through the second piece of my 10”. The kids meal had dry fry’s and the chicken was very very crunchy for a toddler to be able to eat. When I got there to pick up the food I didn’t even get the drink that came with the kids meal.
