After getting a $5 off coupon couple of months ago, I decided to try this place to watch an Alabama football game and got a burger with fries. I went for the second time yesterday to watch the Alabama vs Auburn game and purchased the chicken fingers & fries. The best thing to me is the sweet tea (which tastes better with lemon in my opinion) because it's nice & sweet like I prefer it - no need to add additional sugar. The place is a no frills sports bar & grill, with a couple of bartenders who also are waitresses. They seemed to know the regulars and engaged in conversations with them. To me the prices were a bit higher than I expected since this was such a no frills place, but it was clean. Appetizers started at $7.50 for mushrooms and the prices increased from there. My burger & fries the first time was about $9.50 and yesterday's chicken fingers and fries was about the same but the portions are large so that's the reason for the cost. The chicken fingers appeared to be all white meat. I have a healthy appetite and left full both times. My only complaint was, since I came to watch the game, the sound was turned down to a minimum. There were numerous TV's so customers could watch the game if their choice, but everyone there appeared to be there for the iron bowl so the sound should have been louder. The other complaint was that the smokers were in an outside gazebo area which is good because I don't like to breathe 2nd hand smoke, but when the smokers came into the main room, as they opened the door the smoke came in too, so they need to find a better way to accommodate those of us who do not want to breathe cigarette smoke. Other than that, the food was good and plenteous, parking is ample, and the sweet tea is...
Read moreOut of Towner's not treated very well. Such a shame, great food and drinks, just terrible service!
After our first two visits we became invisible and we always tip well.
Deal breaker, we ordered shrimp and tots, received tots only, an hour later asked waitress about it and finally she put in shrimp basket in! Regulars and large parties seem to be priority!
The women's bathroom had blood stains on toilet, told waitress/bartender and was never attended to, just nasty, two ours later! Waitress/bartender repeatedly walk past table, ignoring our table attending to one table that was there longer to our right and a new table to our right, so irritating!
Friday/Sat night bartender was super attentive the first visit, nice atmosphere, plenty of tellies, and a menu with plenty of options! Food and drinks were served quickly at first, then service lags if your not a large party or regular, everyone else attended to first!
Plenty of staff so kinda ridiculous to not be served, indoor and outdoor pool table, and golf arcade game! There is also a covered outdoor smoking area. March madness was going on while we were there! Typically they have music on Friday and Saturday, then I believe they do trivia Tuesday and we wednesday night during the week!
There is a happy hour M-F, uncertain...
Read moreHonestly, unfortunately, I wouldn’t even leave a one-star but Google left me no choice. My husband and myself are very disappointed with both the service as well as our overall experience. I ordered the chicken Philly tots but I’m assuming because the lady who took our order didn’t write anything down, my order wasn’t brought out correctly. My husband ordered a beer and that too, wasn’t correct. The cherry on the cake was when my husband asked for something simple as another ranch cup to go with his wings. The dark haired employee behind the bar concentrated all of her attention to bar ordered and it literally took over 10 minutes for his ranch, which wasn’t even handed to him by the “bartender/server”, she tossed it over to another patron sitting in a barstool for my husband to retrieve. We felt not only dismissed as paying customers but treated as if we were a burden the entire time. We will not be returning to this establishment and will not recommend it to other friends or family, solely based on how we were treated. The only smile which was obviously insincere/fake was when we were given our tab. My husband worked in the service industry for years and generally is more than generous with what he leaves for tips. The employees missed an opportunity on being the recipient...
