Best Breakfast Sandwiches, plates, omelets as well as the BEST PORK, BEEF CHICKEN BBQ in Birmingham. This family owned business has been here 30 years. It was great then in is great now. Wonderful burgers too. Not a loser on the extensive menu and I've had it all in 30 years. It is nice to see this Christian owned and operated business serve such a large group of blue and white color workers with constant smiles and good conversation. Swearing and cursing is not tolerated here. This is a customer patrolled issue andvthere is always a lobby full to help cussers out. The guys there work really hard. The ladies take care of their flock of hungry lambs. They have grown up there. It's 40 miles each way for me to get there. Every time I'm near downtown I have to stop. My favorite breakfast is a huge ham, egg and cheese with mayo and pickles on a grilled bun and an egg and cheese on a bun with mayo and pickle. Don't get both unless you are really hungry, you'll hurt yourself. For lunch I like the regular BBQ plate with pork or beef or both with beans and fries with BBQ sauce on the fries. The large plate is good if my wife is with me. We will split a large plate with extra beans, fries and apple pies. The lines are long but the wait is just a few minutes. There is no inside dining. There is a large park just a few...

I work closeby... I'm a regular..If you look up "hole in the wall" this place's picture would be beside it...Its the same as its been for many years, i've worked in the area since 1996 and its been the same, just an out of the way no frills BBQ joint in an industrial area that u can smell for many blocks around. I've tried most everything on the menu, its all good, not just good, real good...No matter if it breakfast or lunch (they close mid afternoon) there will probably be a line but it moves really quickly, Lots of hardhats and folks that really work hard for a living know this place well. I usually wear dress clothes but dont feel out of place at all as everyone's there for the same thing, good no excuses food. If you are worried about cholesterol or your triglycerides etc.. this may not be the best place but life is short and a trip here will not cost any more than a trip to most burger joints. If it's your first time and u like ribs go for the riblets...easier to eat and incredible..The BBQ's are big so unless you want to go to sleep afterwards don't opt for the large unless u plan to split it...You wont be sorry just know its to go only.. no table...

My first time visiting with Co workers and the experience wasn't pleasant. We placed a call in order due to only having 30 minutes for lunch but keep in mind we've never eaten there before so we was unaware that the order would be prepared right then. So when we arrived my co worker fries was cold and she was requesting hot ones but was told her order was placed at 11 and we arrived at 11:15 so the fries would be cold, then he went on to state he don't have money to throw away and with more ramblings behind uncomfortable that she said well it's ok I won't come again so he then took the fries back from her. The customer service was horrible and made me very uncomfortable!!!! I have frequented plenty of establishments with an all white staff and was never made to feel the way I did today. So my advice is when u have someone new to your service instead of being rude, try making us aware of your policies withwith in orders and then the issue could be avoided in the future. Rudeness...
