Review for Dot's Diner at The Shady Dell
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
As a Bisbee local and business owner, I've had the good fortune to dine at virtually every restaurant in our charming town. However, my recent special event experience at Dot's Diner was a standout that deserves particular acclaim. 🍽️
Tucked away in The Shady Dell, Dot's Diner isn't just a dining spot; it's a culinary gem that brings the best of local and global flavors to our doorstep. Chef Josh Levine, with his roots in Portland, Oregon, wowed us with a specially curated three-course tasting menu. The starter, a mushroom soup with locally sourced mushrooms, set a high standard with its depth of flavor. The main course, a beautifully cooked pistachio-crusted rack of lamb, was complemented by a delicate parsnip garlic puree. And the finale, a red wine poached pear with mascarpone cream, was nothing short of divine. 👨🍳
The ambiance under the heated outdoor event tent was both cozy and vibrant, a perfect reflection of Bisbee's unique spirit. The carefully selected music added to the sense of community and celebration that defines our town. 🔥
A nod to Jennifer Garland, the wizard behind the curtain, for her impeccable management. Her role in orchestrating such flawless evenings contributes significantly to the diner's warm and welcoming atmosphere. 😎
The service at Dot's Diner is a highlight in itself. The team’s knowledge and enthusiasm for their menu bring an extra layer of delight to the dining experience, making each guest feel both valued and informed. 🤵
To those contemplating a move to Bisbee, this experience at Dot's Diner is a testament to the rich, diverse culture and culinary excellence you'll find here. It's a prime example of how our small town punches above its weight, offering world-class dining experiences that rival those of larger cities. 🏡

Read moreMy history with Dots goes all the way back to its second leasee who started a successful breakfast club in Dots selling blue wally pancakes. It now has franchises in Tucson and Phoenix. Someone told me the newest Dots is #2 on their places to eat in Bisbee, and told me to try the breakfast tacos which are made with smoked brisket. I live to barbecue, so if there's good BBQ within walking distance of my house... got to have it. So, Friday morning, I walked all the way there only to find out breakfast tacoes weren't an option. There was another menu choice that interested me, though, and it didn't disappoint. The Pulled Pork Sweet Potato Hash hit the spot and titillated the taste buds. Great barbecue, too, Smokey but not "hammy." In fact, it's not salty at all, flavorful combination of ingredients, so I'll be back for more. I guess I will call first if my heart's set on breakfast tacos. Anyway, this is the best Dots, so far, which is saying a lot. Recommend you...
Read moreWe visited Dot’s during a day trip to Bisbee and were blown away by their delicious breakfast options!! I had the avocado toast which I have to say is probably one of the best avocado toasts I’ve ever had. It came with a side of potatoes that were also probably the best breakfast potatoes I’ve ever had. They were perfectly crispy and seasoned. My husband had the sausage breakfast Sammie which he said was equally delicious. It was very cold when we arrived and the staff brought out blankets and set up a space heater for us since they only offer outdoor seating. The place is very charming and unassuming yet delivers a breakfast worthy of a visit from Guy Fieri. Great coffee, great vibes, great food. Highly recommend Dot’s Diner to anyone...
