A really neat coffee shop.

Living on the road, I try to find unique locations for my coffee. This place has a great selection of teas as well.

This place has a great vibe, and Christian music added to the ambiance. The staff were friendly and helpful. They have a great section of products and fashion items available for sale. (We ended up leaving with some of their great products.)

My party had bagels and oatmeal. Both were delicious!

We also had a couple of espresso drinks. I have enjoyed hundreds of espresso based drinks over the years of traveling.

I am giving a 4 star based upon quality of bean, out at least the process.

(My espresso was acridly bitter, and I'm not sure if it's bean or process.... And again, the only reason why I am decreasing it by a star.)

Let me qualify my opinion. I have been a home roaster for over 20 years, and over the decades have worked hard to refine my coffee enjoyment skills.

As a traveler, I will not be back for quite a while to get a second taste for an opinion.

12 Stones is an adorable little coffee shop. My friend and I were looking for somewhere to pass sometime, and found it in our Google search. The drinks we got were delicious, and the atmosphere was calm, quiet, and comfortable. There were a lot of patrons around, working quietly on their computers.

Be aware that it is part of a church (literally the lobby). My friend and I, had no idea, until we were walking in, and I read the door. So a lot of the decor and little things they sell, are ‘Christian/God’ themed. Despite that being the case, the atmosphere wasn’t super ‘churchy’. Honestly, I probably wouldn’t have noticed we were in a church, had I not read the door or looked closely at things. Not a single person inside, tried to approach to say anything about religion to us, or try to minister to us. Which was very refreshing in such a space. I also kind of got the impression they’re more progressive with their thinking/views, and probably more welcoming to people who don’t live traditional lives.

As it turns out I have been to many coffee shops all over the country, and I take in a lot of details when I visit. The atmosphere is clean and open. The seating arrangement and availability is suitable and inviting for many different types of groups from one to many. The drink quality from ingredient choices to the execution of superb espresso to the selections available all make this place a perfect visit. Warm and inviting customer service helps a whole lot, and you can tell there’s a lot of joy in this place. The latte and other drinks I’ve had so far brought me great joy and the attention to detail surpasses the vast majority of coffee shops I’ve visited all over the nation. Fantastic job and keep up...
