My family's done... We won't be going back...
Scotty's used to be one of our families favorite places to go. We haven't been in since the new owners took over since its out of our way now. But I thought I would stop in at lunch today since I was on that side of the town. And I was excited since we'll be moving within walking distance in about a month. It was going to be the family place to walk to..
The new owners may have fixed up the building but too bad they got rid of everything our family loved about the place. If you want a burger sure you could go there, but everything that we ordered is no longer on the menu. It's pretty much all burgers. They got rid of most of the sides and appetizers. Way less flavors of scotters. Almost thought about walking out when I found out everything was gone. I figured since I was there anyway I would try something else. What a mistake. Horrible tasting food. The fries and gravy used to be awesome. Now they are basic fries with no seasoning and the gravy is a basic country gravy. Bland but almost seems like they're trying to compete with Big Boy. And they aren't close just head down the street if you want the real thing.
The cashier gave me a weird look almost a smirk when she called my number. Unfortunately it wasn't til I got back to work that I found out she mixed up the orders and the regular cheeseburger I had ordered was not what I received. Since I was watching her fill orders I'm pretty sure she put the burgers in the wrong bags.
Your employees need to check the orders better. Now I am back at work with a lunch that is inedible and disgusting. Too bad I get to sit here for the next five hours with nothing to eat. That should be wonderful. Oh and I'm pregnant so I should be pretty sick by the time I'm off and can get something else to eat.
Avoid this place at all costs. Not worth your...
Read moreIt was Friday nite 6:18pm 3/3/23 I put in my order at the drive up and my order came to $22 and some cents. I handed the lady working the till what I thought was 2 $20 bills. She hesitated a moment turned and looked at me and asked me ( What did you give me ?) I said 2 $20 dollar bills.. She than gave me my change of $11 and some cents. Not thinking I took my order went home and sat down. At 9pm went to pick up my wife from work and she wanted to go to grocery store so I opened up my wallet to give her the only $100 bill I had and that is when I noticed what I had done. It was 10 min after nine and Scott's Drive Inn was closed but I called anyways and a guy answered and was very concerned. I explained what happened and he told me to stop by in the morning and talk to Scotty and he would take care of it. I drove over walked in seen Scotty right away. Told him who I was and he than told me he looked at the camera and said the lady at the till made a simple mistake and punched $120 on the till rather than $40 so there was nothing he could do. She new I gave her $120 or she would not have put that amount on the till. She didn't even give me the correct amount of change even if it would have been $40 because the bill was $22 and in return she gave me $11. I couldn't even see the video and Scotty would not even sit down and discuss this with me so Scotty is just as dishonest with me as the lady was unless she put the money in her pocket but the camera would tell who the...
Read moreI want to like this place, I really do. I've been twice now, and both times I've been served a burger that is well put together and has just the right amount of toppings. But both times there have been serious issues that have prevented me from really liking this place. The first time my fries were very undercooked and had absolutely no salt on them. They were visibly undercooked, and I have no idea how the worker didn't notice. The burger itself was decent, and I think I got what was called a western rebel. Like I said, just the right amount of toppings and it was well made. Tonight, which was my second time, I got a normal rebel and the meat had almost no flavor to it. I don't know if the patties are premade and frozen, or whoever made meat didn't season it at all, but either way it just tasted totally bland, and I can't say I enjoyed it at all. Additionally, I got a side of smokey cheddar dipping sauce which was served to me cold. Maybe that's how it's supposed to come, but it seemed like a weird choice for a cheese sauce.
I'll probably give this place one more try, but my high hopes are...
