The barbecue was decent, though the smoky flavor wasn't particularly appealing. The pricing felt steep, especially with the numerous upcharges. We were surprised by an additional fee for bringing in a party of six. Even basics like cornbread and water came at an extra cost. One member of our group requested no sauce and was assured it wasn't included, but it turned out otherwise, which detracted from his enjoyment of the meal.

It's disappointing to hear your excuses for what was clearly a subpar experience.

When most people order water, they expect tap water to be offered, especially if it's their first time at your restaurant. We didn’t assume the water bottles were free; we just expected tap water to be an option, not to be surprised with bottled water unless specifically requested. You can't expect customers to know they need to ask for tap water.

While you might not include cornbread in your meals, many BBQ joints do. So, when you ask every single person if they want cornbread, it comes across as if it’s included. Just because it's listed as a side doesn’t mean it can’t be part of a meal—using that as an excuse is pretty weak.

The 15% fee is outrageous, especially considering the lack of actual service. There were no refills, no table clearing, and we had to order at the counter. By your logic, if a group of six goes to McDonald's, should they pay a 15% fee for the staff cooking their food? And let's be real, the only place that fee was visible was on a small sign behind you, which you conveniently pointed out only after we questioned it.

As for you “checking” on us, we didn’t say everything was great—we simply said we were okay and finished our meal. We don't send food back unless absolutely necessary, and you knew we were already upset with the service. We’re not about to start sending food back after we’ve already started eating.

Bbq was OK, had a smoke taste that wasn't quite tasty. Fruit wood smoke would make a big difference. Also a bit pricey with all the up charges. Was charged an extra $18 penalty for bringing 6 people into this establishment. Would you like cornbread? That will cost ya. Water? Yup, that will cost ya too. One member asked for no sauce, and was told it didn't come with any. Wrong, so he didn't enjoy his meal.

Apparently the owner doesn't get out much, almost all BBQ restaurants that serve cornbread it comes with the meal. The mandatory gratuity for 6 would be fine if we were actually being served. Not ordering food at a counter and just having someone bring out the food. Not like there was any refills, or table services after the food was brought. We would have left a tip anyway, and it would have been more then we were charged. However, after it was forced that is all you get. Venture out a bit, enlighten yourself on how real bbq restaurants work. Also when someone asks for water, they are assuming a glass of ice water. If you are going to sell someone water in a bottle, thats when you ask "tap or bottle" To expect someone who has never been to you place to know they have to request tap water...

We were promptly greeted with a warm welcome, the wife and I, with the smell of hickory smoke in the air, a wonderful smell I must say. The menu's on the wall was nice to be able to take your time to read while not getting in the way of people ordering but it was a lot of different menus to go through. We were given a number after we ordered and the food came out fast! I wish we were told or asked if we wanted bbq sauce on our food, it was covered in sauce. I personally like to be able to taste the wood and rub used and then use the house sauce if need be. I ordered 3 ribs and was surprised on how small they were, also the membrane on the back of the rib was not taken off, which can be like eating crispy paper. The pulled pork and brisket was good! Had a good taste of seasonings and smoke. The garlic cheesecurds were out of this world delicious!!!! All in all it was good & will order food again very soon! Try out the bbq spot off the...
