First and LAST time my family will eat at a Surcheros. My rating is actually - 5 stars. We ordered 3 meals online which I might add took them 30 minutes to prepare (that I could over look) but the rest I can not. I ordered the Surcheros nachos with steak & beef (an extra charge, ok), a loaded quesadilla & a Surcheros burrito with cheese poured inside (an extra charge, ok) we got home and the nachos were missing guacamole, sour cream and Surcheros sauce so I go back down (while the rest of my family eats while itās hot) to explain they were missing from my order, the cashier proceeded to tell me that yes they were on it, I again told her that they were not and asked for some sides, finely after she finished integrating me over the condiments she produced 3 SMALL cups 1 sour cream, 1 guacamole and 1 Sancheros sauce( enough for about 5 chips!) I asked if I could please have 1 more sour cream and she says yes Iāll have to charge you. Are you kidding ME!! You screw up my order and you canāt spare a tablespoon of sour cream!! I bite my tounge as to not make a scene and leave ( after about another 15 - 20min.) I get back home and guess what I had 3 yes 3 small pieces of steak in my order thatās it!! Iām then informed that the burrito was COLD, no cheese inside and it was soggy! I check on my sons quesadilla as he had to work and Iām informed it was so soggy with grease he had to pick it apart in order to eat it! I pack mine up & return to Surcheros for a refund. I explain to the women in charge all that has transpired and that I couldnāt bring back the burrito due to it falling all apart in the trash and my son had to make due as he had to eat before leaving for work. She did apologize as she did look at my steak less nachos and offered to correct them, but it was to little to late. She offered a refund. My refund consisted of $11.10 out of a bill of $35.02 of worthless food. This by far was the worst treatment and experience I have ever had at a restaurant! Your employeeās need some extreme training in customer service...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHorrible experience!! Went with my wife on a Monday at 2:30 pm. ONLY one at the counter. I told first guy in the assembly line it was my first time..crickets, just gave impression wish I would go away. Ordered quesidilla with steak. ALL pans on line uncovered and messy, got 3 toppings, after placing cold meat, laid it all on grill...was waiting for sizzle..nope. Barely some brown spots and served. Substituted rice and beans for chips. My wife is a vegetarian, she asked for veggie meat 2 tacos. Again first guy...nothing, he proceeds to put lettuce, tomatoes, cold corn and cheese. No input from wife, this is what she got for $8.99. To make matters worse, wife sat down as I paid, went to sit, told card wouldn't go thru, no reason WHY? Tried again, nope, then takes my card out of my view to the back, gone awhile, comes back, no go. Another employee got it to work so now have to monitor report to make sure not charged 4 times. Now my cold food is colder 15 minutes later. ICE COLD, rice, cold with some aftertaste, beans cold, dry. $29 and change, I took coupla bites and threw the whole mess away. With no one, but 2 tables already sitting when we walked in I feel REALLY sorry for anyone going there during a "rush". I now know why after driving past it to work never really see any cars there. Don't waste your time OR money, Imagine a taco with no meat or veggie meat, so no seasoning, and you are handed a cold shell with cold toppings. Spend you...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis place is another location of a Tex-Mex restaurant that started in a nearby city. I had the pleasure of meeting the owner at his second location and discovered a man who genuinely loves his work but, more importantly, genuinely loves his customers. I initially felt his meals were over-priced, and then I ate one. I am happy to pay for such delicious food in such volume. I've eaten at similar restaurants but never left there as satisfied as I always am at Surcheros. There will always be crew turnovers in restaurants, but the folks at Surcheros have been consistently service-oriented, going above and beyond to satisfy the customer. That is extremely hard to maintain in any business that seeks to reproduce itself, but especially in the food service industry. I am SO happy to see Surcheros come to my hometown. I'll never be able to frequent there as much as I wish to, but I am confident I will always enjoy every visit and leave each time full and satisfied. And I failed to take any pictures because I was well into enjoying every mouthful before even thinking...
