Dulce Vida Breakfast & Lunch — Restaurant in Blair

We went for lunch Sunday at about 1pm. It was evident when we walked in they were short staffed because the front host was cleaning tables and a customer was writing names down for tables! We sat down and after at least a 5 minute wait the waitress came over and turned to take the order of the table to our right but we called for her as we had been there significantly longer waiting. She took our order brought beverages about 10 minutes later. A table of folks that sat down to our left at least 15 minutes after we ordered had just received their food. About 5-10 minutes later the waitress brought a plate of food no one at our table ordered. She took it back. A few minutes later she brought 2 plates of food that we again did not order. We told her it is not our food so she took it back. About 5 minutes later one person at our table got the correct food; then another 5 minutes passed and 2 more people received their food but the order was incomplete. We asked the server for silverware and the rest of the items to complete the order. She indicated she would get it but then disappeared waiting on other tables for quit a while. We sat there patiently for over 5 minutes as the food cooled and no sign of the server, silverware, or remaining items of the order. We had to get our items from other servers! Finally she brought the last order that she said she had messed up on and the portions were pitiful. It looked like it was thrown together in seconds. The pancakes were the size of a 50 cent piece and burned. The omelet was the size of a one egg omelet and there was enough potatoes to put on a tablespoon! One person at our table ordered the chicken salad and a salad. The lettuce (and plate) looked like it was dipper in water and put on the plate. The whole bottom of the plate was full of water and soaked the bun on the chicken salad. It was really disappointing. This was our 3rd time to the restaurant and the service, food quality and quantity were really horrible today. There was no manager on site and no one in the restaurant was doing anything to make sure things were running smoothly. At minimum one of our meals should have been comped due to the fact that it was brought to the table by the time everyone else finished eating. No apology for anything....just poor service and pitiful food...

I ordered the Lemon Ricotta Pancakes and I appreciated the lemon flavor and the blueberry and cream topping was amazing! I was looking forward to the flavor combination of lemon and cheese, but the ricotta was lost to the cream and I don't know what it tastes like anyway, but I figured it would be similar to feta for some reason. I also ate some of my Mom-in-law's Peach French Toast and that was also delicious! My only hope is that they offer REAL maple syrup and not corn syrup and actual butter and not vegetable oil spread both of which are harmful to people's health or at least there are not the benefits from REAL processed Maple tree sap and churned butter from a cow SOON because I don't believe I've ever seen any restaurant in Blair offer these healthy items to strengthen our local community. I will absolutely come back and order something different because they have a good variety of items...

The quality of this food went down hill fast. Whoever was the cook today did horrible.

Our server was wonderful. Very nice. Kudos to her. This review is purely on the food quality.

The hashbrowns were burnt. The breakfast potatoes tasted like they came out of an air fryer with no seasoning.

The omelet looked like my 9 year old prepared it, and was requested without mushrooms. The server even asked again and confirmed while taking our order, but the cook still made it wrong.

The bagelwich eggs were burnt and crispy.

The kids meals were fine.

We have been here a few other times and things were good. That's why...
