As a patron of the culinary scene in Blakely, particularly during business visits, I have found the local food offerings to be both a highlight and a respite from the demands of work. The affordability of the meals is commendable, presenting a value proposition that outstrips many competing establishments.
The service, predominantly rendered by high school employees, is efficient, if not overtly cordial. They exhibit a professionalism in order accuracy which should not go unnoticed, especially considering the pressures that individuals in the service industry often face. It's a testament to their discipline that they maintain composure under stress, a quality that earns my respect and empathy, given my background in the service industry.
The establishment's ambiance leans towards the utilitarian, with a focus on takeout over dine-in experience, underscored by unadorned counters and straightforward decor. This is, perhaps, not a place to seek aesthetic delight but rather culinary satisfaction.
Cleanliness, particularly in areas such as restrooms, is a detail that I hold in high regard, and it pleases me to report that the facilities here meet a high standard of hygiene. It is often in these overlooked corners that an establishment’s commitment to customer care is truly revealed.
In summary, while the establishment may not offer warmth in ambiance or service, it stands out where it truly matters: providing good food at an affordable price, served with efficiency and held to a standard of cleanliness that deserves...
Read moreDisappointingly I got dinner today from Vidaro’s which turned out to be a huge flop. I spent $76 dollars on flavorless food that was still shivering when I got it. The mild breaded cauliflower bites were drowning in sauce and were gurgling for help which I could not give. They were also very soggy and did not taste fresh. The fries which I asked to be cooked to a crispy texture were as soggy as my tear-flooded eyes after viewing my dinner. The chicken tenders were breaded, yes, but did not contain the flavor that I expected. This paired with the small portions did not exceed my already low expectations. The next meal that I opened was a steak and cheese with lettuce added. From the first view the lettuce was overtaking the whole hoagie like a weed infestation and it looked like it was sitting out in a heat lamp for the past few days. Aside from the wrinkly lettuce, the shaved steak was better off being cooked on the porch in the hot sun because even that would contain more flavor than what I received. I previously enjoyed what used to be Nina’s food however the new faculty and recipes have changed my eating pleasures. I will not be returning to this establishment in...
Read moreVidaro's Chicken Cheese Steaks with fried onions and mushrooms have to be the best of the best. I say that respectfully since there are numerous other restaurants serving similar items. I've recently tried not to express such a deep love for food, but this Chicken Cheese Steak is mind-blowing! The hoagie roll is also fantastic, and the combination of everything is a must-try ASAP. The Hot Honey Garlic Wrap was also top-notch, and The Chef's Salad danced with peppers and a mix of olives that made you feel healthier when eating them. The owner was making fresh pasta that reminded you of your grandparents back in the day. Stop by Vidaro's and see...
