When I 1st started playing in bands around SWPA, I had known about Moondogs and wanted to perform there. The day finally arrived!! Moondogs Pub is a local bar with great entertainment. Local and national blues acts play the moondogs stage. That is the attraction at this local bar. The venue is small and intimate (bring your ear protection). The bar is now "no smoking" which is a good change from the smoke filled room that it once was. This place is awesome. I flew in from Seattle to attend the Pittsburgh Blues and Roots music festival on Friday 7-28-2023.
