The absolute best music shop in Western PA, maybe even all of PA, possibly even the east coast of the US!!! Point is, the people there are just the best!! Whether you need your instrument serviced or are looking to purchase a new one, everyone here is immersed in music themselves and understands how to help their customers! I am personally a guitar player, so most of my interactions have been for guitars, and they have impressed me EVERY SINGLE time I go in for sales or service! Over the past few months I’ve worked with one guy, Billy, who really helped me make a decision for a new acoustic guitar based on sound instead of just price. I can’t tell you how much I appreciate this because I initially went in to purchase a 300 series Taylor. However, Billy had me sit down and started handing my guitars without telling me what model or price they were and asked me to play them to see which sounded best to me. Well, naturally I started to want the 800 series Taylor, which was way more than the 300 series I went in for. However, Billy then had me play the 800 series rosewood I liked, then handed me similar built Taylor’s (spruce top, rosewood back-sides) and to my surprise, there was one he handed me that I thought sounded BETTER than the 800 series I thought was best. That guitar ended up being a 414CE-R, basically the same woods and build as the 814CE Deluxe I initially honed in on, but at a significantly lower price.
My point is, the people at N Stuff are there to HELP you find what’s best for YOU, not to sell you things. The attention they showed to me by spending a good hour having me try guitars for sound instead of letting me ship on price is something that keeps me going back there for ANY musical need I have. They have shown such great value that I will go them to purchase something that I KNOW I can get cheaper online, because their expertise and insight helps me make informed decisions. Also, they are customer centric, so if I wanted a Uke and saw that Amazon sold it for $55 cheaper than listed on their site, they will do whatever they can to make sure they take care of me. Not saying they will always price match, but my point is, GO THERE FIRST and talk to them. If they can match prices they will try their best, but I still will ALWAYS go to them for what I need even if it’s cheaper elsewhere because they really try to make sure I get only what I need and not just sell me stuff what I want or THINK I NEED.
Only place I’ll go for instrument purchases, even if I end up moving away from Pittsburgh!!!!
Oh yeah, I also forgot to mention that their shop is an awesome place to just stop in, even if you don’t need anything. Why?? The people who own, run, and work there have deep connections to some of the best musicians in THE WORLD, and those people pop in often!! I’ve been in the shop where famous or just talented musicians are jamming in the front window, and it’s awesome! They’ve also added a stage next to the shop for open mic nights, professional musician tutorials and concerts, and other events that support their deep history of supplying world musicians.
Thank you N’stuff, so happy with my instruments I got there and can’t tell enough people about the above and beyond service you’ve given me! Billy, you’re the man, you basically guaranteed that I will purchase new instruments from you for as long as you work there!!

Read moreI've been coming to Pianos N' Stuff Music since I was a kid and have always been more than happy with their service and availability of gear. Over 25 years later I can happily say that their standards for excellence have not waned. Stellar service (may have to be a little patient and wait until they are done helping someone else before they get to you, but I've never waited more than 10 minutes, which flys by when you're browsing some of the sweetest gear on the planet)!!! But for the relatively smaller store size, they certainly have a ton of options, no matter if you're a guitarist, drummer, dj, keyboard player, or producer, if they don't have what you're looking for, they can always get it. A pretty nice selection of prs guitars, fender, acoustics, etc, amps, drum gear, pro audio, live gear, rentals, etc.
Honestly the best music store around the greater Pittsburgh area in my humble opinion. Again, service has always been excellent. I even had them repair a guitar neck that separated from the body before for a very reasonable price and excellent quality work. So whether it's gear your looking for or repairs on gear you currently own, I would highly recommend N' Stuff Music to any musician, from beginners to pros and everything in between.
Tony helped me today in the pro audio department and he was just a gem of a guy. Very knowledgeable and informative and even suggested that perhaps I sleep on my decision for purchasing a set of studio monitors. To me that speaks volumes because it's not about just making the next sale, it's about treating the customer right with what's best for them so you can make the best, informed decision for YOU.
I believe they've been in business since 1968, and given it's 2025, that's a pretty darn good track record that demands an acknowledgement that they obviously must be doing something right. It always starts with the leadership and the culture trickles down from the top, everything about this place reflects that paradigm and value system of "we care about you, the customer is always first".
That's my honest to goodness experience for over 2 decades of doing business with N' Stuff Music. You honestly can't go wrong going here for all your musical needs.
Thanks for helping to keep the greater Pittsburgh area rockin' with style for over 50 years guys! I love supporting the local business. So before buying anything online, I would highly suggest you go here first before committing to even the smallest purchase.
Overall 9.5 out of 10, because there's ALWAYS room for improvement and these guys understand and from my perspective, have adopted that culture and attitude!
Also a great place to make connections with other local artists and producers!
I truly hope this review helps at least 1 person out there to give them a chance and perhaps you'll be the next life-long, more than happy and satisfied customer!
A sincere, heartfelt, Thank you to the entire family of N' Stuff Music! You guys make Pittsburgh a...
Read moreAfter visiting several shops and reading online I called and spoke with Billy. He responded very quickly with my questions I had. After our conversation I made arrangements for later that week to go to the shop and play a few guitars that I had in mind. So I made the 1.5 hour drive and it was worth every minute. Within seconds of walking in the door I was greeted by Ash who was very polite and lead me to the acoustic guitar section upstairs. This is where I met Chris. Chris did a fantastic job at showing me the guitars I was interested in and even went above and beyond to show me other guitars in the same category and price range to make sure i got the exact sound from a guitar that I was looking for. He spent one on one time with me with multiple guitars. Once we narrowed it down to a few that I liked he let me play them back and forth with no rush and no pressure. After a lot of playing and asking Chris multiple questions I made my decision. Not only was the care and hospitality from everyone at the shop amazing but I also got a deal on my new guitar that no big box stores or online retailers could even come close to. Even during my checkout the guy working on guitars behind the counter (my apologies not remembering his name) was a huge help explaining different humidity pack options for my guitar. I will definitely recommend N Stuff Music to everyone I know. Even though they are not in my local area I believe i found my new...
