After hearing numerous good things about this place, I had to try it. DISAPPOINTED!! First I will say the service was good. The dinning area was alot smaller than I thought it would be. They did have patio seating available. I ordered the Lasagna dinner that came with a simple salad and a small loaf of bread for the entire table. The Lasagna was Luke warm at best. It consisted mainly of a thin film of ricotta cheese between layers and layers of nothing but noodles, topped off with an almost meatless type sauce and a little cheese. Bland and not very impressive. Another member of our group ordered the Shrimp Alfredo. Same problem, served not quite warm. No distinct flavor. Someone else ordered the Cheese Tortolinee that seemed to be ok and a pizza that was described as dry with very little taste. Obviously won't be returning for another visit. Apparently the kitchen staff had other important things to do, than to ensure that quality meals were being served. Maybe a hint, to step up better management in the...
Ā Ā Ā Read more(short version) Generously portioned food served hot fresh from oven to table, everything was flavorful and delicious. Thanks for the fun date night out!
(long version) First time going (recommended by co-workers) my wife and I had a very positive experience. The first thing that surprised both of us was how hot the food was, basically oven to table hot, which is a genuine surprise as more often than not, food at restaurant comes out mostly warm. The mozzarella bread sticks were tasty with a good crust, and I very much enjoyed my Tortellini Vincenzo. Portion sizes were very generous, (most people will be taking home leftovers) and our server was attentive and friendly. The only two disappointments, (these are not marks against Lina's just personal notes) were that it seems there wasn't any beers on tap, (the canned beer I had was fine no complaints) and the sauce cups were a bit on the small side (in my opinion). Overall everything was great, and we look forward to going back and trying something...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDrove from Toledo upon a friend's recommendation. We were not impressed upon entering, very plain and small. People were on the patio, but it was too hot for us. We were seated so I was facing a scenic mural covering one wall which I enjoyed. Our server was terrific. Our salads were nondescript with iceberg lettuce. The house dressing, which our server described as across between French and Italian was very good. My husband got the Veal Parmesan, a large piece and somewhat thicker than usual smothered with delicious sauce. He said it was the best he ever had. Also sauteed veggies, carrots, squash buttery with lovely seasoning. I had the Carbonera, a dish I've seen on TV and have been wanting to try. A good place in which to try it. A big bowl of delicious fettuccine with a generous amount of egg and herb sauce and a lot of crumbled bacon mixed in. My favorite pasta dish ever. I ate 1/3 of it, my husband ate half of his. We are looking forward to our leftovers...
