Mamma's Pizza & Subs — Restaurant in Bloomfield

Two guys who worked there (one seemed to been the owner) were the rudest people I think I've ever encountered in my life. I hope they don't actually live in Perry County because they don't belong in PC where people are kind and respectful to one another. I was appalled at how they treated my friend and also another customer. I tried to approach them calmly and kindly because you never know if people are having a bad day or fighting some kind of personal battle. I asked them to help me understand what happened, and they were rude to me, as well. I stated that it felt like they were upset with us, and he said, "You don't need to feel anything. I don't feel anything." And the other guy told me to "just go sit down and eat your meal." But there was more to the story in how rude they were to my friend and another customer. Even a third customer said they will not be going back because of what they observed. It is so disheartening to encounter people who treat others this way. It was completely unwarranted and unnecessary. Also, the pizza is not near the quality it was when I was a kid when there were different owners. So I wouldn't bother going for the pizza either. I grew up eating Mamas!! The original owners were awesome!!! They cared about there customers!!!! New owners only care about making a buck and I mean big bucks!!!! I will never ever step foot in this shop again!!! Called a Togo order in....small Stromboli and a bacon cheeseburger sub. Get there to pay and was told my total was 30.00!!! So naturally I questioned the price. Thet are charging for everything individually. Sauce for Stromboli was 3.00. Bacon on sub 3.00. Extra mayo 1.00. What should have only cost around 15 was doubled. Anyway I asked if I could bring the difference back to the lady checking me out when the man came to counterand started belittling me and screaming at me about needing his 3.00. These people are very rude and unprofessional. I went to my car scrounged up 3.00 and took it in. Grabbed my order....they had the audacity after words the say please come again. I said no I won't be back!!!! I'll take my business to Newport or Shermansdale...

Wow, where do I begin?…deff not the mammas I grew up with but I guess that’s expected with I suppose new ownership. I ordered 3 things because I wanted to sample to get a grasp on food quality…a cheese pizza, fried mushrooms and a mushroom cheesesteak. Let’s start with the main..the pizza…pizza barely any sauce…hardly any cheese…bland taste…eatable but quality of pizza…poor. Cheesesteak…bland…no flavor at all. Not sure what it needs but it’s definitely lacking something or somethings. Fried mushrooms…something about the breading is off to me..somewhat seemed “hard” and wasn’t like the fried mushrooms I remember from my childhood. Those ones were tasty. Staff wasn’t too bad and the decor is amazing for a place that’s in town. I mean, If you’re in the area and looking to be full I guess mammas is a place to go…but as far as “tasty” food…, I’d consider trying somewhere else as far...
