The nastiness of the older woman will be the demise of this business. If sheās the cook, she needs to stay in the kitchen and donāt care if sheās possibly the owner or not. She is single-handedly the reason this restaurant is getting 1 stars. I had literally just read the review from the poster 6 days ago and this woman and she didnāt disappoint. Well Iāll never return no matter how good it maybe cause quite honestly the market is saturated with Jamaican restaurants that are good as well. Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have been going to the restaurant since the pandemic while working from home. I usually get the beef patty. A couple of times it was cold and no one wants a cold patty. After being frustrated/ disappointed last week there was 1 in the case so I asked the older server if there was any fresh ones coming from the back. Well she gave me a tongue lashing!! Asked me why I asked and when I said the last one was cold, got irate and said they donāt serve cold it had to have been warm! Then proceeded to harshly say they follow the government guidelines. Now this was in front of a customer. I kept my cool though. She then said āah gwine gi yu a hot hot oneā said in disgust and gave me what I had asked for. I felt insulted and will never go back. To the point where she has refused to serve us and walked away then told the man to serve us. She gives dirty looks, doesn't respond when I say hello, and is just overtly gruff. It's just not nice.
Actually the food is so good we have gone there inspite of how rudely we are treated in hopes that the service will be better.
At first I thought she was having a bad day but given her consistent bad attitude and general unprofessionalism Im convinced that it is because I'm not a woman of color.
