Marygold Indian Cuisine - A Disappointing Experience
I recently tried Marygold Indian Cuisine and was left thoroughly unimpressed. There were three major issues that stood out to me:
Poor Order Management: Despite taking orders over the phone, they don’t begin preparing your food until you arrive, resulting in unnecessary wait times. This defeats the purpose of calling ahead and shows a lack of organization. I called in my order 25 minutes before arrival. I waited 30 minutes for my food once I got there. Do not make phone orders. Unkempt Environment: The place itself was chaotic, cluttered, and frankly, dirty. The ambience felt more suited for a truck stop than a restaurant, making it uncomfortable to enjoy the meal. Rude Service & Overpricing: The service was rude and condescending, with an air of arrogance as if they didn’t care whether or not you were a customer. On top of that, the food was overpriced and subpar in quality. Given the many other dining options in Fontana, there’s no reason to settle for this.
Unless you’re a starving truck driver, I would recommend steering clear of this place. It seems to primarily cater to truckers, but for anyone looking for good food and a clean, welcoming environment, Marygold Indian Cuisine...

This place survives only because truck drivers have no other option nearby with truck parking. It’s not a choice — it’s a compulsion. If there was even a single food truck or cart serving Indian food within 1-2 miles, this restaurant wouldn’t last a week.
Only thing they are good at is food presentation neither they take care of food quality nor taste
They are clearly taking advantage of drivers’ helplessness. • The food is terrible — paranthas feel like they were microwaved from a frozen packet. • Appetizers? Stale and possibly old stock. • And to top it off, THE WAITRESS DURING THE MORNING SHIFT IS SHOCKINGLY RUDE, with zero sense of customer service.
What’s worse is that management doesn’t care. I checked the reviews before coming and saw similar complaints from MONTHS ago and absolutely no improvement. That says everything.
I will NEVER return here. Next time, I’ll just park at the same fuel stop and order online from a decent Indian restaurant nearby.
Drivers, save your money and your stomach. You...

In March, the king of one-liners went all in on the third location of Farm Girl Cafe, which takes a “holistic and healthy” approach to Australian cafe culture.
Rayner takes issue with the crowd of “blonde-tressed Chelsea women just bubbling with intolerances,” the space — “it’s like a cartoon version of a farmhouse as imagined by someone who hasn’t been in one” — and, naturally, the food. An artichoke dish “smells of a long Sunday afternoon in someone’s overheated suburban front room,” and jackfruit tostadas are “a fibrous tangle that gets stuck in your teeth on top of a violent, acidic sludge of guacamole.” Rayner hopes the meat dishes will be more successful, but alas, finds himself eyeing a guest’s pet Yorkshire terrier: “Just hand him over, give me access to the grill, and five...
