I'm pretty sure that these reviews that I'm seeing on here are from the employees and not from actual people who have ate here. My first initial thought was yeah this food is going to be lovely and good and I was so excited for the place to open up. First I'll start off by saying the atmosphere there seems really great the presentation of the diner but, the food However took a little while but, the food still came out cold and the food that we received seems like it was sitting there since this morning and then reheated up, the food is pretty easy to make so I don't understand why they would do that only thing that didn't seem reheated was the French fries. I got the wild rice soup I found one hair in it and I let it slide yes gross I know, but I started to eat again and then what came up from the bottom was another piece of hair it was black and then It had like gray to it totally not my hair my hair is red. I observed one of the employees constantly put in his hands wrapped around his body and underneath his armpits and I had wet sweat marks it's like he wasn't paying attention at all to what he was doing, and then he went and grabbed the plates of food and also grab drinks and stuff. Then another one kept rubbing all over his hair and his face like trying to wake himself up or something I don't know it's so weird. The guys they have working there seem very unmotivated to work the ladies seem a little more motivated than the guys do and this is all true stuff. The food was very peppery and I don't know if that's just how they make their food or what's going on with the pepper but there was a lot of pepper in literally everything we spent a total of 75.00 for just three people I have to say the toast with the strawberry rhubarb jam was the best. They have huge cinnamon rolls that look like they're probably delicious also chocolate cake that is a very large slice that look delicious as well. I don't know I just hope this place can pull together a little bit more or maybe I just had a bad experience I don't really know. Lol I really want this place to be great...
Read moreThe restaurant was clean and nicely updated from the previous setup. Tables are maybe a little tight and packed in but a group of 4 should be fine in most cases. The food was ok. Burgers were nothing amazing and I have a feeling they are precooked and kept in a steamer or water as they werent cery flavorful. Fries are ok. The quesidilla was really good. Staff was excellent, the waitress was awesome and handled everything extremely well. The drinks seem to be a little pricey.
Warning about groups of 6 or more. I don't know if it's stated but they charge a 20% automatic gratuity on the check (it says 18 on the receipt and over 6, but it's actually 20% and 6 and over). I don't have a problem with 20% tip but it's just applied and could EASILY lead to a double tip situation, which in my opinion is probably the intent. Also a group of 6 for an automatic charge seems pretty low.
Overall I would maybe go back as there are a couple things I'd like to try, but wont be at the top of the list. The staff was awesome, the food was ok. They have a burger and shake deal on Tuesdays which would be interesting but I imagine there would be a decent wait to get seated.
Pricing was a little high but that's pretty much the way it...
Read moreI'll start by saying I'll definitely come back to try something else because the service was good and we enjoyed the atmosphere. Once they open the patio, that will be really nice!
Now, the food that we tried was not bad, but average. The one thing we all noticed was related to the breakfast dishes. I'm not sure if its the grease/oil they use or what, but the eggs tasted off and the hasbrowns. Not sure how to describe it, but my kids were confused by the sweetness the eggs had.
However, the cheesecurds and the homemade jam are yummy.
Well, be back to give...
