From a little classy brew house in Bluffton. We enjoyed their vintage decor, bar counter, and even the restrooms were nice. With a lot of brews on tap and a varying menu, this place has an option for everyone. The staff were very friendly, and although they did have a moment of panic when they couldn't find a menu item on their register, they were fun and professional.
The pizza is called "The Sweats". It is a combination of sausage, pepperoni, and peppadew. It will take you back $25.
The pepperoni is very good. Good flavor, and it's the wonderful cupped kind that most places don't use. The sausage is just your normal run of the mill, not spicy, just okay. Sauce is good, with plenty of hints of spices but enough tomato flavor here and there. The cheese was delicious, very good flavor. The crust did leave a bit to be desired - it lacked flavor and was a little hard, maybe due to one side being cooked more than the other, as pictured. The peppadew, which I had never had before, had this sweet, tangy taste to it and was actually one of my favorite parts of the pizza. I would give the...
Read moreMy wife and I were visiting friends and they took us to Parlor City Brewing. Chris and Anne have a hip spot with amazing craft beers and some good food. I tried their Aurora (Hazy IPA), Frumpy Cat (Sour IPA), and Henry’s Reading Glasses (Stout). All were wonderful. I’m an IPA in the summer and Stout in the winter type of guy. The stout was smooth and full of flavor. Robust but not heavy. The Aurora was hazy and juicy. I loved the citrus flavor! And perhaps the biggest surprise to me was the Frumpy Cat. It was my first sour and it did not disappoint. The sour taste was well balanced with the citrus - very drinkable! Needless to say, I definitely plan to be back! On top of it - the chances that you visit friend six hours away and go to brewery with owners originally from the area where you reside - very unlikely but a cool connection! Awesome...
Read moreFantastic craft beer at great prices. The rotation of beers means there's always something new and tasty to try. The beertenders are always friendly and helpful. This is genuinely the greatest place in Bluffton to spend an evening. Also there's a coyote in the men's room.
Edit:2/13/22. PCBC is the best brewery in Indiana. I've tried A LOT this last year. Others may have better individual beers. Many have better food dishes. Not one has this combination of food, beer, and atmosphere with a mom/pop ownership. You want a place you can feel good supporting? Talk to Chris or Ann for 5 minutes. Best place in...
