Hands down a 5 across the board!
We happened across this golden nugget passing through. We'd been on the road 12 hours and decided to hunker down. It was late and few options were available. Honestly this was not our first choice, but with other restaurants having a 40+ min late, it was a blessing.
The service was absolutely phenomenal. EVERY employee was courteous, professional, welcoming and just overall pleasant. Even though it was close to closing we were not rushed.
The food was perfect! I prefer my steak medium rare, and it most always comes out medium well. Not here! I wish I'd taken a picture, but I was so enthralled with savoring the perfection I didn't even consider it. The green beans - SOOO delicious!
My friend had a bowl of soup (chicken rice) and the pork chop dinner The soup was piping hot and savory. She had to wait a few more minutes for the pork chop because "they fry them fresh"....what? She absolutely enjoyed her tender, perfectly cooked pork chop and the sides. Did I mention the green beans?!
We were enticed by dessert, but we're too full - serving size is generous. Had we opted for dessert - they had grilled, buttered pound cake...sounds divine!
It's a bummer that I probably won't have the opportunity to visit again. If you are in the area, don't miss this opportunity. You will...

Then she made us pay for part of the meal when the entire meal was gross and messed up I would not recommend this place the entire time the only nice and person who apologized to us was the waiter the manager didn’t seem to care patty just want us to pay and leave Lizard thicket your manager patty failed us tonight and the kitchen staff failed but she was more worried about what the waiter did or didn’t do it is not his fault the food was wrong and he is the only one that seemed genuinely sorry about our...
Read more#horrible. Where do I start..the server Blake was good at first but I dont if he was aggravated by some situation in the back but when he came back to our table he was whole different person attitude wise. It could be training because when asked anything he either didnt know or was unsure. Food came to table incorrect and when Blake displayed displeasure in rectifying the situation I asked for a manager. Here comes Mr. Luke Wilson and soon as he opened his mouth I knew this wasnt going go anywhere. His posture was one of a drunk or ex drunk and one of an addict or ex addict. Needless to say he didnt rectify the situation so I didnt eat basically. And what was so strange to me another waiter came over just to check on my table and started asking how was everything going but it was clearly they already knew. I got the vibe theres some behind the scenes issues going on because without asking I was given Mr. Wilsons name also the General Managers name and this survey link. I dont what has happened at the Blythewood Lizard thicket but it needs a whole overhaul with management and employees. WILL #NOT BE EATING HERE ANYTIME SOON AND WILL BE TELLING #EVERYONE I KNOW NOT TO EITHER!!!
