Shaffer's Deli — Restaurant in Boardman

This is a GEM of an eatery. Friendly, family atmosphere, with excellent quality AND pricing! Not alot of seating, but the subs are so good It's irrelevant. Seriously, I have major regrets for not taking a picture of our Meatball subs and Fresh Cut Fries, but once I picked it up, I didn't wanna let go. The meatballs were HUGE and clearly homemade, as was the delicious sauce, and the bread was big and super fresh. I mean, for only 9.99 I was shocked at the size, and it filled me up (im 6', 220, so trust me I can eat). The large fresh cut fry was big enough for 2-3 people (think Five Guys size). The hours are a little sporadic (unless thats the internet hours listing thats incorrect), but it is honestly worth the trip. We are done with the chain sub shops (and the cheapened quality of a once local fav who cuts their tiny meatballs in half). DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND TRY THEM OUT, you WON'T be...

I was going through the worst time of my life. My plants were dying, my cat had started judging me openly, and to top it all off, my ex had just left me for a guy who brews his own kombucha and wears toe shoes. I had no hope, no joy, no reason to go on… until I stumbled into Shaffer’s Deli.

And there it was. The Italian sub. Glorious. Toasted. Layered like a Renaissance painting. I took one bite, and suddenly the skies cleared. A choir of deli angels sang in perfect harmony. I wept. A single, salty tear rolled down my cheek — not from sadness, but because they put just the right amount of pepperoncini.

By the time I finished, I had a fresh lease on life. I got a promotion, my cat gave me a slow blink of approval, and I matched with someone who appreciates cured meats as much as I do. Shaffer’s didn’t just serve me a sandwich — they served me salvation.

🤤 What in the DELICIOUS hell is going on here?!? Was in town on vacation and just happened to find this gem! The service was the best that I’ve had in many years, and I travel a lot for work! Don’t get me starred on the food!!! If “fresh” was a physical image, it would be a selfie of Shaffer’s Deli!! You can tell that the owners and staff working here truly care about Quality and consumer enjoyment! I’m pretty sure you already know that the order I placed after I finished my lunch, was not for a friend, I wanted another sub for dinner before my flight home in the morning! I am trying to figure out a way to Have this delivered to me in Myrtle Beach! This might be a stretch, however, can you guys ship meals?!? I mean, and some of these other places do it 🤭
