I have Family in the area and come down several times a year to see them and we usually go here a few times and have always had good food and service. But as the other shop is dropping I had asked for unsweetened ice tea which I have gotten here previously, they advised me they only serve sweet tea. I then asked for hot tea with ice on the side and the not so nice person said okay and a few minutes later brings me out a cup of hot tea she microwaved and a cup of ice. I was surprised that I could not dunk my own teabag but gave it a few minutes then poured the tea over the ice and took a long sip and low and behold she had heated up the sweet tea. I almost created a scene which possibly would have ensued the local cops being called but held my peace and drank it much to my chagrin. I will not patronize this place again if you have to stoop that low it is a sad day when you cannot inform the customers you don't serve hot tea either. Too bad they are the only real restaurant in town as all the others are fast food. Makes me want to open up my own little hole in the wall and beat them at their game. I WAS TRULY VERY DISAPPOINTED but lesson learned. I found out that McDonald's serves unsweet tea!! With the majority of customers they serve they should think a little more about healthier food options like less...
Read moreI have eaten there several times, when it first became Bobbie’s the food was good but then as time went on, I don’t know if she left for a while and left someone else in Charge, but there was a man running it with some young girls, I had stopped eating there because every time I went they did not have what I asked for and they would offer me something different not just one item, It was on multiple items so I just got up and left, I go to a restaurant to eat what I want not what they have left. Another time, I ordered a cheeseburger with onion rings. My cheeseburger was raw so they took my whole plate back and when they brought it back to me, the burger was done, but my onion rings were burnt because apparently they Reheated those. Not long ago, I ordered Beef tips with mashed potatoes and green beans, the beef tips were little cubes of meat that was tough as rubber , they needed to be simmered all day to be tender, The mashed potatoes had a dried skin on top and a green beans taste like they had just come out of the can and heated up with no seasonings whatsoever. I’m not trying to be mean I’m just stating what I experienced. After that many times of trying, I don’t see myself going back anytime soon. I don’t know if Bobbie is aware of this, but she needs to know...
Read moreI was on a day trip with my children, and I didn’t want another chain restaurant. We were so lucky to find this place!!! The food was great. The atmosphere was relaxed, and the lady that took care of us was wonderful. We will def be back. Cons: I couldn’t tell if the restaurant was open or if it had closed down. I’m sure to locals they know it’s open but the sign by the road is faded and the sign in on the door is confusing. If they had a door sticker with the business name and hours it would give it a professional look and help us outsiders :) also, a little touch up paint to the sign by the road would brighten it up and dissolve all doubt, when people are passing through. We will...
