The first time I ordered and had my meal delivered to the office where I work (which is just 5 minutes down the street), the delivery was prompt, my soup was still hot and it was delicious.
TODAY!? Worst food delivery service ever!
I placed my order online and was told it would be delivered between 12:15 and 12:30 pm. My food did NOT show up until nearly ONE PM, and when I called to check on the status of my delivery at 12:40 pm, Lexi told me that my food would be there "momentarily"... Twenty minutes later my food arrived. Twenty minutes between a phone call and delivery does NOT count as "momentarily"... it count as a half hour late.
Several of my co-workers placed delivery orders as well, and when the shift manager delivered the meal of someone who ordered before me... (AGAIN 30-45 minutes late)... the driver spoke to Lexi who told her that we should have "put in a special note" when we ordered. We are a large office, so there is NO WAY to co-ordinate ordering food. We all pay for our own meals, so a "special note" will do noting for us. Plus Lexi abruptly hung up on the driver while she was still trying to talk to Lexi. There is ZERO reason to hang up on your employees while they are trying to provide proper customer service.
I understand that being short staffed and slammed means that your THREE delivery drivers are overloaded, HOWEVER.. at least give your customers the courtesy of a heads up if they call in to explain that they are short staffed and that the drivers will be late. Or better yet, when a customer calls worrying about their delivery, take two seconds to say they are swamped and short staffed, that they will follow up with the driver and have the driver give them a call with an updated ETA.
THAT is proper customer service.
This is NOT the Panera Bread experience I have come to expect from my many year of ordering from...
Read moreWhat can I say that most people don't already know about when going to Panera Bread's chain restaurants, in Boca - it's Boca! It's very attitude heavy, keep to yourself, mediocre service, higher-than-normal prices for the portions that you're getting, kind of place. This place always lacks the courteous service or warm inviting friendliness that most of the other Panera bread's usually own up to. Probably because it's Boca. Plus, I can't stand the way the coffee's always empty or cold no matter what time of day I get to this location, also, It's grungy looking. And out of the worst Panera bread locations in SoFlo, it's a tie between this location on Yamato road in Boca Raton and The Village Square location in West Palm Beach. Small portions and not-nice service hazme hoping that in the future instead of revamping their style by hiding three of The Craft lemonades behind the counter, while treating their customers like a two-year-old when you have to ask for you're membership club "Sippy cup AFTER just raising the prices on rejoining your Drink membership! Not Cool! And not a good business model moving forward. Just think, if they paid enough attention to cleaning the lemonade machines as often as the dirty looks they give you every time you have to ask for supposed to be ready ( but isn't,) stocked supplies or let you help yourself like it used to be available in the good old days, I might not feel threatened to drop the membership for the 3rd time in...
Read moreHadn't ever had Panera Bread until about a month ago when I was sick as a dog. I was looking for a soup place and saw that Panera had a soup & sandwich combo that also comes with a bag of chips. With nose stuffy and throat sore, I just wanted something to make me feel human again. Ended up getting the broccoli soup and the chipotle chicken half sandwich. It was easily one of the best combos I've ever had. Especially during that awful sickness, it made me feel full and energetic. The soup alone was incredible and I instantly wanted more. The chipotle chicken sandwich also comes with avocado, which made it taste all the better. The combo is honestly as close to perfection as I can think for what is essentially a fast food spot. I eat from here at least twice a week. Once during my work week, I'll doordash, and then on the weekend I'll drive out to the location. Only gripe I have is that it took me this long to check this place out. Don't think I'll experiment with different combos, because I'm pretty set on what I like. Once I pick something and love it that all I'll ever want from a place. All in all, no complaints. Staff is friendly. No rudeness. Place is pretty clean. Not super busy. The Yamato location at least has been pretty light. There are usually people there, though, so it does get it's fair share...
