Update responding to owner: She clearly didn’t even read the review. There is a BIG DIFFERENCE between being playful and fun with customers vs EATING FOOD CUSTOMERS PLATES AS IT COMES OUT THE WINDOW. I seriously doubt her regulars want her unwashed hands eating their food. I watched it multiple times so it wasn’t a one off. And I can tell you when I was there this playful fun atmosphere she is wanting to claim wasn’t happening. This issue still remains that quality of food is poor as their biscuits are so hard that the Panthers could use them as hockey pucks, owner is rude and takes tips from staff, and the list goes on.

I came here based on the reviews and left very disappointed. When we first arrived, a server with brown hair and glasses on her head seemed to be frustrated . As we walked in, she did not greet us and instead pointed towards the back of the restaurant and said “Sit back there”. She then rolled her eyes as she rushed to one of the tables and let the other server know it was “her table” and to not take their order.

Our server was Joanne and she was wonderful. She was very personable and the only good part of the experience.

After ordering, since we sat in the back of the restaurant, we were able to observed everything happening. We watched as the server with brown hair and glasses on her head, grabs food from the kitchen window and eats fries off a customers plate. Yes, off a customer’s plate. I wish I was kidding. She then took that plate and served the customer their food. I was dumbfounded and in disbelief. Then we observed the owner eating at the same kitchen window while preparing bagels and toast for customers. We could tell they are very comfortable with eating food off customers plates and while preparing food. This is completely unprofessional and incredibly GROSS! 🤮

We received our food and it was okay. The biscuit was hard as a rock. It was so hard you couldn’t stab it with a fork. They replaced the biscuit and I could tell it was microwaved and not “freshly homemade baked” like we were told. The food was nothing special and it was expensive for the portion size and the quality of food.

At the end, after we paid, we noticed we were charged $7.00 for a coffee instead of $3.50. My husband asked for refund, the owner called the server over for what she said is a “teaching moment” and instead of giving us a refund, the owner had my husband deduct from our server’s tip. I did not like that as she was the only good part of the experience and I feel she does not deserve that. I did voice to the owner that I did not think that was right and that Joanne deserved the full tip, and the owner stated in front of Joanne that she would make sure she got the money that we were told to deduct from her tip. I really hope she does.

Overall, I wanted to like this place but there was too much that happened that left a bad impression and then to add poor quality food on top of it, I would never return. Especially in Boca where there is endless of places with great food and...

A neglected bathroom is sure to be ineglected kitchen where people cannot see. My family has owned bars and restaurants my whole life. My friend owns a string of restaurants across new york and georgia.I'm new to florida I live in Boca Raton. I have been Patronizing the griddle since day one. I'm a big guy disabled. I told the owner several times about the bathroom. No air freshener. And the toilet seat is broken. Slides left and right. I almost fell on the floor.I told her first week of october I almost fell off the seat. And toilet paper dispenser is too close to the floor. Is very difficult for disabled person. I reminded her several times. I was told she will not fix the paper dispensers. Because the whole bathroom will have to be painted. profit before patrons.$!!!! She also told me she would fix the toilet seat. She won't even close the diner To exterminate roaches and rodents. They do it at night instead of closing the next day for their patrons. I sat and ate at the counter and saw roaches coming out of the cabinets underneath the coffee pot. Told the girls .The very good workers was sure to grab a rag and kill them. After I pointed it out. This is disgusting profit dollar are more important than their patrons. Should close and lose a day's profit. So people do not have to eat with disgusting roaches.Nothing has been done up to now. Very disappointing for the owner not to listen to a patron opinion. Who's in there quite a lot during the week and on the weekend and it's a very good tipper. The only reason why I continued to go is because of the great staff and great service. I will never return again to this disgusting...

Owner tried to claim defamation on my prior review so I am revising my review. The food like I said previously was terrible I tried the burgers 2x and they were extremely dry and tasteless had zero flavor. I also had their fried fish and fries and it was soggy and flavorless. As you stated in your reply My mother was employed there so ofc I didn’t have to come into the store to try the food duhhhh🙄🙄. Your employees talk bad about you that’s how I know what I know. In my most humble opinion based on my interactions with you. You seem like a racist inhumane restaurant owner. My mother informed you of a family emergency so she was sending me to pick up her check which you knew about. When I got to the restaurant you told your employees to tell me and I quote “ the owner went to the store and She doesn’t know when you will be back” I was later informed that you were in the restaurant with a red shirt and you had you hair down so I didn’t recognize you. When I asked you aren’t you the owner you at first tried to act stupid than admitted to being the owner I turned to your employees and asked them why’d they lie she said and I quote “ that’s what she tells us to say to people when they ask” When I first walked into the store you seen me and had to recognize me immediately cause we’ve had previous interactions. So my question is we’re you not trying to give the paycheck? I’ve heard you have a problem with pay so valid question right. I turned to you after and said “ you used to be nice” “ I am not my mother and will report you” that’s what I said you than replied agreeing that you used to be nice. Your employee finally gave me my mothers paycheck. And I left. My review does have substance and is valid. The food is nasty and your racist.
