Hoshi has been a place I have frequently visited for pretty good Japanese food for many years. The food is honestly just ok. Not many options in Boiling Springs so probably only the convenience keeps people going here. Portion sizes are good, shrimp sauce is pretty good, rice texture is not very good, and the chicken is tough like everything has been sitting out and just reheated. I know the prices are going up everywhere but every time I go here it seems like it has went up a buck. 40 dollars for 3 plates with nothing to drink and only drive thru service seems a bit much for mediocre food.
