Pros: Staff was friendly. Place was clean enough as it was empty.
Cons:. Food was soooo bland. No hint of Italian flavor. Manicotti looked like soup. Tasted like wet cardboard. Spaghetti was very bland. Meatsauce had no flavor. Lasagna was flavorless soup with 2 small pieces of baglike plastic in it. Made frozen lasagna from Walmart look like a 5 star meal. Cheese curds were okay, Complimentary garlic bread was a sub bun with zero garlic and very little butter. might as well said they were bringing out toast. Zero resemblance to garlic bread. My long empty drink was only filled once. Which was after we were finished and waiting on the check. The waitress had the nerve to fill it as all plates were at the end of the table away from us as we were getting up. I'm not sure how they are prepping meals, but it felt like everything came out of a boiled bag. A Tasteless boiled bag. For a new restaurant, it is ashame that they had ran out of money when building to devote to actual flavor in their products. I hate to say this, but if your looking for Italian in Boiling Springs, go to Italian Garden down the road. As outdated as they are, at least you can taste some of their food.
We were all really disappointed from our first and likely only visit here. Had such high hopes as the area needs a good Italian spot. Anyone on these reviews who said their food was good so far probably only has ever had Italian food from TV dinners. If you're okay with tasteless "Italian" food, by all means, come here. The only reason they aren't getting 1 star is because they are new. Hopefully...
Read moreIf you're searching for a genuine Italian culinary journey, look no further than LaBella Vita. Nestled in the heart of Boiling Springs, this charming eatery offers a delightful escape to Italy through its sumptuous flavors. From the moment I entered, the inviting aroma of seasoned tomatoes, fresh basil, and simmering cheese tantalized my senses. The ambiance itself exuded warmth, adorned with rustic Italian decor and a hospitable staff ready to guide you through their culinary marvels. The menu boasts an array of Italian delicacies, but the true stars are undeniably the lasagna and calzone. The lasagna, a harmonious blend of rich bolognese, velvety béchamel, and perfectly cooked pasta layers, simply melted in the mouth. Equally enticing was the calzone - a crispy, oven-baked pocket filled with a melange of savory meats, cheeses, and aromatic herbs. Each dish arrived exquisitely presented, reflecting the care and passion infused into every creation. The attentive servers were a testament to LaBella Vita's commitment to providing an authentic and enjoyable dining experience. For those seeking a genuine taste of Italy, LaBella Vita is a culinary gem not to be missed. Read moreI will start with the good things. The restaurant is beautiful and clean, the parking lot is tidy, and the fried mushrooms are decent. The hostess was nice, and the server was okay.
The bad: The food was by far the most bland food I've ever had. My husband and I got the spaghetti with meatballs. The meatballs looked like dissected sponges, and they were somehow wet and dry at the same time. Zero taste. It literally tasted like water. I asked the waitress for an extra cup of sauce to try and eat the meal, but the extra sauce didn't help. The bread had a bit of butter on it, wasn't toasted, and didn't have any garlic. I found that odd for an "Italian" place. The side salad is literally a small bowl of iceberg lettuce with one single cherry tomato on top. Nothing else. I told the waitress politely the food was awful, and she just said, "Aw. I'm sorry." No offer to take it off the bill, or get a manager to offer a discount. She did eventually ask if she could bring me something else. We still tipped of course because it's not the servers fault, but everyone should save their money and go elsewhere. Even Italian Garden down the street is better and I don't care much for their food either. Unfortunately, we...
