I NEVER write reviews but this was HIGHLY disappointing. This past Friday night Arrived at 9:30pm. There was a $10 pp cover charge, there were 4 ladies on a girls weekend. We are from the DC area so a cover is expected at high volume/high desired places in small spaces. When we pulled up there were 2 guys sitting outside, a 2 top and a table with 6 ladies then a few locals it appeared around the front door talking with the guy collecting $. We got a table by the door and a drink. From 9:30 ON he did not charge 1 other person going in, not 1. It became the highlight just watching them let everyone in after 1 minute prior charging us $40. A lot of high fives, people he knew...fine. A few he didn't know but they just walked right in. Maybe a total of 20 ppl in the whole place, thats being generous too. There were 2 guys playing- 1 older gentleman and 1 middle age. They were "cute" but certainly not something you pay to go see. So the bouncer comes by and we nicely say- so- how is it that you let everyone after us in here for no charge but you charged us? Do we scream vistors? He chuckled and said- after 9:30 he doesn't charge (ok thats odd, usually as the evening starts you charge, but not at the start if anything). We said- no wonder no one is here....the entertain wasnt worth the $10! I had a video we took timestamped at 9:34pm, right after we arrived-its not like we arrived at 9:00pm and he hadn't heard the music yet himself. So...he went over to what I assume is the owner and bartender to tell them we were disappointed and felt that we really shouldn't have been charged. It was about principal not the money but paying for something like that is ridiculous. That guy came and said tomorrow night we'll give you $5 off at the door. We LAUGHED...who in the HECK would go back?? Our thoughts as business owners ourselves...that was poor business practice. He had an opportunity to gain customers vs ignore or push away. It was CLEAR that the entertainment they booked was less than subpar. You should have never charged at the door to begin with the moment you hear the entertainment yourself Offer a drink on the house (we had already spent $65 on 4 drinks). This would have been a MINIMAL cost to them. Offer to come back the next night at no charge Refund the $40 spent
What could have be different with a little customer service-- we may have stayed for another drink, we may have given it a chance the next night in hopes of better entertainment and spent additional money on drinks. Instead, the moment our first drink was done, we left and would NEVER return and...it was enough of an annoyance that I took time to write a review. We understand entertainment isn't always great, but certainly don't charge the guests when you have less than 20 ppl in the entire place (and we arrived, less than 10! ) and it is OBVIOUS how poorly received it was. Do better, get better. Sadly that little town has dwindled to things closing at 4/5pm, stores permanetely closed...its like a ghost town. The one place that could do well....lacks...
Read moreMy wallet was stolen from here. Instead of helping by watching tapes they did everything to help cover it. I was told conflicting stories and by the time it was all said and done, i was told the cameras are'nt there to babysit my wallet. I loved this place and went there often. It's a shame they have someone in charge of handling these things who could care less.
I cant reoly to the response but I assure you your messages state otherwise. I had one drink the entire time I was there and I do not smoke so good try. The wallet was left on a coffee table with a group of peoole. All of which were regulars. For literally long enough to take a pic with my father who showed up. Directly under a camera. You then accused my father for being suspicious looking and it may have been him. Solely based on appearance. I was then told the cameras were motion sensored for after hours and were not there to assist your patrons. So yes, sounds shady. I'll spend my time where the patrons are a top concern. Plenty of those in this area. A simple review to see who picked it up is all it took. You absolutely...
Read moreCan't rate highly enough. I went with a group of girls for a very laid back Bachelorette party. The atmosphere is wonderful; laid back, genuine, and like hanging out in your best friend's back yard. I can't comment on the drinks as I was pregnant, although the blackberry mojito looked incredible. What made the place, however, was the hospitality. The owners heard that we were a Bachelorette party and not only took care of us with a toast, but talked to us for an extended period of time. Our sides hurt from laughing at their stories. The atmosphere that they said they wanted to create in opening the place was the kind of place you can have drinks, dogs, kids, and live music. It is exactly that. A lot of fun (fun enough for an adult Bachelorette party) but wholesome and loving. The other patrons seated next to us all clearly subscribed to the same ideals and were all incredibly kind and gracious. We made several stops to local establishments throughout the evening and those drinking in the crew and the sober pregnant lady all agree, this was by...
