Muddbones. Tx — Restaurant in Bonham

So Saturday the 29th I got told, by a close friend of mine, about this place and how great tasting the burgers are here and that my daughters and I should eat there for lunch. I took his word of advice, and went there for lunch. When we arrived, the manager, Kyle, took our order, mentioning to him it was our first time there. Kyle made us feel very welcomed and comfortable while we waited for our meal, even, free of charge, on the house, put in an order of fried pickles, for us to sample being our first time to visit; very nice of him to do that when we thanked him. Soon after, we receive our order and I decide we eat outside for it was a beautiful sunny day, wanted to enjoy the fresh air while eating. We prayed before eating, as always, and took our first bite. Let me tell you that burger, the mushroom swiss burger w/ bacon I ordered, was the bomb; best burger I've tasted out of any burger that ive ate in my lifetime, even the fried pickles were on point, made to perfection crispy and crunchy with a side of homemade ranch( very yummy!) I want to thank my close friend for telling me about this place and thank Kyle and his crew for making the best tasting burger in Texas. If you havent visited this place, you really need to, it will be an awesome interactive experience of a lifetime plus a great meal to enjoy as well; my close friend, my girls, and I will order and go there again and try out other items on their menu(Yes it's that Good, I can't say it enough, you will say the same thing after ur first visit!) Please help and support Kyle's crew( place) get back to the number one spot by going there, trying their burgers, and leaving a positive review. Kyle will do his part too, by upgrading here and there to give you the better experience than it already is. One more thing, in the future branch out and expand ur company Kyle, I would like to enjoy ur delicious food closer to me instead driving out 2hrs, but it was well worth it...

Was in the area and looking for a lunch spot when Muddbones popped up as a highly recommended burger joint - and the glowing reviews convinced me to give it a shot.

Our order was taken by one of the founders, Kyle, whose quick wit and humor made an immediate impression. As we waited in line, we got to watch the burgers being made - a nice touch that builds up the anticipation.

I went all in and ordered the Angry Opossum - a beast of a burger with double meat, double pepper jack cheese, bacon, grilled onions and peppers cooked in their smoky jalapeño sauce, all topped with their newest 6 PM sauce. It was phenomenal!!! Messy, flavorful, and hands down one of the best burgers I've had in a long time. The messy table was a badge of honor.

Pro tip: Don't skip the Burger Magic spice. Sprinkle it generously on both your fries and burger, it elevates everything.

The restaurant is conveniently located off State Hwy 121 N with ample parking. The ambiance is divey in the best possible way - walls decked out with awards and accolades that tell the story of its burger legend status. There's outdoor seating available, and the retro video game machines double as quirky seating areas.

It's clear that Muddbones is beloved by locals - the vibe is warm, welcoming, and has that family-run charm.

Will I return? Absolutely. I'd make the two-hour drive any day for another bite of that...

We live in Las Vegas, NV and have family that live in Bonham, TX that have been raving about this place, insisting it had the best burgers ever. So naturally, we had to try it ourselves! We hopped on a plane and then drove nearly two hours just to experience it—and it did not disappoint.

From the moment we walked in, the staff were incredibly friendly and took the time to carefully go over each order, ensuring every detail of our meal was just right. Whether you prefer sitting indoors or enjoying the fresh air on the spacious patio, there's plenty of room. One fun perk? They even have a free arcade filled with classic games to enjoy while you wait or after your meal.

We opted to dine outside on the back patio, which was perfect on such a pleasant day. When our order was ready, they called our number over an intercom. Everything was spot on—down to the condiments, including ranch for those crispy fries! We ordered a variety of burgers, and each one was amazing—juicy, flavorful, and absolutely worth the wait. Also, that Rattlesnake Egg bites nice with its spicy and delicious taste!!

If we ever find ourselves back in Bonham, TX, or even just passing through, this will definitely be a stop on our list again....
