Dairy Queen — Restaurant in Bonham

I just drove thru your drive thru at the Bonham, TX location. I ordered two double cheese burgers, 1) no pickle and 1) ketchup only, one 4 piece chicken tender meal, one small dr pepper no ice and one small sweet tea. I said my order a couple times because she had said it back wrong over the speaker. When I got to the window, the lady asked if I wanted my receipt. I said no, and as she handed me my credit card slip to sign she asked me to pull around to the front. I saw the $26 and change price on the slip and said I think I do want my receipt to check the prices. Instead of giving me my receipt, she checked with some other workers and said my price was right. I went ahead and pulled to the front and waited. After awhie a guy came out with our order, but without the drinks. I told him the drinks and he went back in. While he was gone we noticed that they made both burgers with everything except pickle. So when he got back with the drinks (and I gently shook the overflowing dr pepper and said no ice, right?) He didn't say anything and I didn't feel the ice so I took it and tried to give him back the one burger to make it cheese and ketchup only. He said he couldn't take it back but would bring us the correct burger. When my son put his straw in his drink it broke up ice. He had asked for no ice. I had reiterated no ice different times when ordering and when the guy went back in to get the drinks. When he came out with the burger I apologized and told him the problem and he said that I am just going to have to deal with it and that it's my fault for pulling away from the window and making him walk out there. They had a line behind me and that girl asked us to pull around to the front. I thought I pulled to where she had said. My son heard her say it too. We were disappointed at how bad the service was and then the attitude on...

We stopped by on our way back home from our road trip wanting some Blizzards. We don’t live in Bonham, it was just a stop. Unfortunately both Blizzards we received were cups of vanilla ice cream with toppings.

Now, I don’t know about you but Blizzards from every Dairy Queen I’ve been to outside of Bonham mixes the toppings up. Apparently this place ops not to do it. Not sure if it’s a cost savings tactic or strictly trying to save time. It really doesn’t matter because what you get is subpar and substandard from what Dairy Queen promotes.

I did call corporate to let them know about the issue. They took down my info and said they would reach out to the owner. I have yet to receive a call or email. That should say all you need to know right there.

If anyone is reading this, don’t bother getting Blizzards from this place. If you do, you will most likely end up disappointed.

As for the owner and managers of this facility, instead of leaving some generic comment about how sorry you are, spend the time up training your employees on how to properly make a blizzard so the product you are selling meets the expectations of your customers and ultimately falls in line with what Dairy Queen advertises folks should expect to get when they make a purchase from your location.

We ordered chicken strip baskets. Food was hot. Gravy was bland. Chicken and fries were good. I mean it’s fast food what more can I say. The tea was soured and they only made fresh because it had been brought to their attention that it was not sweet. The store was basically empty. Two were waiting on their food to go and two were sitting at a table. Two ladies were loudly talking in their headsets to each other and let’s just say it was probably a good thing the store was basically empty. Might as well not have even had them on. One girl in the back pretty much seemed to be just doing her job and keeping to herself. She was helpful with the tea issue. Atmosphere is a dramatic and toxic to say the least and not just because of the loudness but also because of the amount of bickering. I won’t be back but Dairy Queen you need to come get your night crew fixed and get this place back on track before this is the next store in Bonham...
