Mangia Brick Oven Pizza & Grill — Restaurant in Bordentown Township

The food here is great. The atmosphere is relaxed and family-friendly. As good as the food and atmosphere are, the service and interaction is unmatched.

I feel compelled to write a five-star review for this neighborhood restaurant because people need to know about their excellent service and care for customers. My wife ordered pizza, pasta, and soup to go for dinner on 10/17/2024. There was miscommunication and the restaurant mistakenly gave my pescatarian wife pizza that had ham in it. This would have been a source of real stress because you just don't know how the restaurant would react if you told them that even with their track record of great service, they got this one wrong. I called and spoke to Steven, I think. True to form, it was such an easy conversation and he told me that he would make it right. He told me to come the following day and he would make me the correct pie.

I called today, 10/18/2024. He remembers our conversation and I will be picking up their delicious pizza pie in a few minutes.

If I were to base my review on food, taste ,and service only, I would give it an outstanding 5. However there is so much more to a meal experience. The atmosphere is better than I expected for a pizza parlor, but not enough for a rating of 5. The place was somewhat noisey, but not loud enough to be obtrusivly loud.

We were greeted a a pleasant smiling hostess who jovially escorted us to our table. Almost instantly we were greeted by our waitress, also very pleasant and extremely polite. Even the buss boy was attenative and extremely friendly.

We ordered the beef short ribs with risotto. A generous portion of very tender flavorful beef on top of a creamy parmesan risotto. We also had the Pasta Fagoli which was delicious. I added a side order of grilled vegetables that were perfectly cooked.

I wanted Spumonti for desert, which they don't have; but the waitress combined several gelatis to make something similar.

Worst restaurant I've ever been too. The owner "Steven" is very annoying , rude , and very cheap. He would not stop asking the waiters and waitresses to see if people were done their food when they just started eating. The food was aweful An was no where near worth the price. They give you very little food then they used to. One time I ordered calamari from Mangia's about a month ago An when I opened the tray there was about 15 barley cooked calamari. This is the worst restaurant I've ever been too no wonder why it has so many bad reviews . The waitresses are very annoying as well. My waitress got all the drinks wrong An basically forgot all about my table. This restaurant will be out of business in a matter of months. Restaurant was also very dirty An there was dead bugs on the floors , Chairs An at one point there was AN ANT ON MY PLATE....
