In response to the establishment : The Owner was there and had 3 opportunities to help remedy the situation. 1) When I went up to the counter to let you know the sandwiches were too spicy hot to eat. 2) When my friend who is a Shreveport -Bossier resident who wanted you only to do what was right either substitute something for our paid (uneaten meals) or give us a refund. 3) When my husband went up there returning our uneaten sandwhiches. Again another opportunity to right this situation. I paid a tip, and for meals that I couldn't eat. And then had to go and purchase additional food elsewhere. We love the food. I have no idea how you can help when the owner himself didn't want to.
3 months ago I posted a stellar review to YELP. My husband and I have been in twice since my post initial post in January. (We spend at least $30 each visit. When we visit from TX 60 miles away we're looking forward to a great meal. 1st of all I left a tip on our ticket from my previous experience's if u don't leave a tip you don't get extra service. WE ENDED UP CLEANING AND PUTTING TOGETHER OUR TABLES FOR A PARTY of 9. (At least $100 was spent) We always get the Italian beef it's always been perfect. This time it was so spicy/hot we couldn't eat it! THE owner refused to remake, substitute or offer our $$ back for our sandwiches. We were completely shocked that they didn't offer something of lesser value just to try accommodate us. We would have been satisfied with their chicken wings or something. My husband is a diabetic and we had to buy him something to eat after we left. We gave them back their sandwiches, in tact. Sadly, we will miss coming here, especially since we drive from Texas for the food. Regretfully we thanked them for their lack of customer service. And cleaned up our own mess on...
Read moreWent based on good reviews. The 6piece catfish plate was lightly fried to perfection w/great fries. The 3wings/3shrimp w/corn & mac& cheese was MEH. The wings had decent flavor but small & overly fried that it was mostly eating hard crust. The shrimp is not fantail & fried nearly black. The batter had decent taste but as overly fried , I only manage to eat one by taking all crust off. The corn is definitely not boiled in milk & there was no sweetness & mainly tasted oily as if subpar butter used. The mac & cheese was orange & so bland it was like eating some chewy rubber. There was a light orange sauce included w/plates yet not sure what it was for. It was bland with maybe some mayonnaise taste. Definitely not tarter sauce. Unfortunately there is no salt pepper to add to food. It was very busy which was surprising considering how subpar some of the items are. Basically stick to the catfish & fries. The guys taking order were very friendly. The 2 plates & 2 drinks was $40. Again can only recommend...
Read moreThis place didn't disappoint. The fish here was fried fresh and to perfection. They serve swai catfish, tilapia and another fish choice I can't remember. The oysters were fried golden brown not hard and not soft. Fries are the homemade style, similar to a thinner wedge with the skin on. They were delicious. The wings and shrimp were also delicious. It was nice that everything was seasoned but not salty. This place is a hole in the wall but it was very clean in the inside and didn't not smell like a greasy spoon when entering. We went at 10 PM and the service was quick and the 3 guys behind the counter were very friendly. We are from are the cajun part of Louisiana so we were pleasantly surprised how good the food was this far from New Orleans. They were not stingy with there sauce as well. We had more than enough hot sauce, barbecue and remoulade in individual containers without asking. We would definitely...
