Chen's Kitchen — Restaurant in Bossier City

Ok so I've been ordering from Chen's kitchen for a couple of years now and never had any problems with the food or service. Until last time that is. My truck was broken down so we decided to order online from them. Of course we know orders take awhile getting here on the 3rd of the month lol. But 2 hrs go by and no food. Called and was told that they were waiting on a delivery driver to pick it up. Okay another hr goes by, still nothing!! So again I call the establishment and was told I could come get my food because a driver never showed up and they'd refund the 7 dollar delivery fee. Um ok I already told them I didn't have transportation to come get my order and that was why we had ordered delivery in the first place!! So was then told to contact my CC company to dispute it and they'd approve the dispute and refund my 25 dollars. So we did that and that was last month. Still no refund. So finally got my truck fixed and went up there today to see what could be done. The normally kind gentleman there looked at me like he could care less and now blaming the service that does their deliveries through their website. I asked about him refunding my money and was told they didn't take my money!!! I then said can't you just make the order again? No again ! Needless to say we will be dining somewhere else from now on. Because that could've been handled better by the owner. Which is a shame because we loved the food. 25 dollars lost for me and a customer lost for them. Most restaurants...

I had just left the doctors office, was starving and had a 3hr trip home, so i looked on google to find a Chinese takeout, preferably with fried potstickers. The first couple listed were away from the direction i was headed, one was outrageously priced and two were closed, so i opted for Chen’s Kitchen in Bossier based on the location, price and Google reviews. As we were about to turn in the driveway to the restaurant, we were rear ended hard and had to wait for EMS and police. I called the restaurant and he came out the door and over to our car to check on us and at my request, he said he would keep my food warm for me. We had to wait a good while before we could leave, so i knew they’d be soggy, but it was ok, i was hangry!! When my friend went in to get it for me, he cooked a fresh order on the spot! They were piping hot and were absolutely delicious😋 Once i got home, I ate the few that were left over and they were just as delicious. I wish i had gotten 2 or 3 orders!! Great food, great price for a good size portion and wonderful, friendly service! That’s my kind of place.

I can’t wait until my next trip to Bossier/Shreveport so I can go...

Chen's is reliable and fast and tasty and cheap is what they are.

This is a clean, unassuming, no-frills Chinese restaurant serving authentic, high-enough quality Americanized Chinese food in portions and for a price that you're likely to consider a good deal.

The chef and his wife(?) are nice people who genuinely appreciate your business.

It's just a hunch, but I think the majority of their volume is delivery. This means if you decide to dine in, you might have the place to yourself. Nice for long focused conversations with your significant other.

If you dig Chinese you should give this place a try. Everything about my experience was positive. Hopefully yours...
