To say it was amazing would be an understatement. When I say Park 54 was a vibe… I’m talking about an Adult Themed Turn Up that is all about the experience, food, and positive energy!
Let me give you the rundown…
As a native of Boston I am excited to see the continued development of the city as a whole. During my recent visit my high school friend Alex J. posted the flier for Sunday Brunch. I inquired about the venue and he had nothing but positive things to say about it. Based on his recommendation and the fact that he was hosting I sent out the mass text that the pull up for Sunday Dinner was Park 54.
Being a graduate of Hyde Park High I was even more excited to visit Park 54 as they are nestled in a community that I was in daily for my high school life. LoL!
Upon arriving at Park 54 I was greeted by security. Not the usual ‘mean face’ I see in Atlanta, the security team set the standard as their focus was not only protecting the patrons but service as well. The young lady who checked my ID engaged the fact that I was visiting from Atlanta and shared a few laughs with my friends and I as we got checked to prepare to enter.
Thanks to my Bestfriend, we had reservations so there was no wait. We entered, gave our party name and were immediately taken to our table. From the moment you walk into Park 54 you are captivated by the modern spin on the classic pub design. The clean lines and open floor plan paired with the classic white and black color palate put you in the mind of a quality dining experience. The esthetic is a perfect presentation of elegance and style with hints of urban trend. Shout out to whoever brought this to life.
Our server greeted us immediately and was super upbeat, welcoming and all smiles. She discussed the menu with us, provided some recommendations and took our drink orders. Another plus for Park 54 and this representation of service was above standard and added to the already pleasant experience.
As we decided on what to get our waitress delivered the Honey Butter Cornbread Mini Muffins. Let me tell you one thing, I have no idea who’s idea this added pleasure was but babeeeeeeeee, they were on to something. These warm mini muffins with the sweet flavor profile of the honey paired with the spice blend of the cinnamon and the grit of the cornmeal… OhEmGee!!!! I’m talking a melt in your mouth, don’t talk to me while I’m chewing, can I get some to go kind of experience. Ooh Lord!!! I want some more just thinking about them. (I wonder if they can overnight me some! LoL)
For my main course, I decided on the Wing Dinner with Fries and Collards… Ok! You know I keep it real… Babeeeeeeeee these wings was WINGIN!!!!!! I don’t know where they order their wings from, however, these are REAL Wings. Furthermore, the seasoning blend used puts you in the mindset of grandmother in the kitchen preparing Sunday Dinner for the family. From the fragrance the comes from the chicken as the smoke rises to the salt blend that hits your tongue, these wings are truly a mouth-pleasing, soul stirring, let me get an order to go as well type of experience.
Though my entire play was good, the wings stole the entire show. LoL! Honorable mention goes to the collards as they were perfectly done. They were tender however still had a much desired crunch to them. The fries were battered and gave a good balance between the wings and collards.
As if the service and food wasn’t enough… DJ Mez.Wav and Alex J set the Night Off!!! I’m talking about every song that dominated from the early 2000’s to current. They present a vibe that was grown yet took you back to a moment in your life where fun was fun and you were taken to a zone of pleasure, vibes, and memorable moments.
Based on my experience at Park 54 my friends now know that anytime I am in Boston Sunday Dinner is at Park 54!!!
Make sure you stop in if you’re in the area. Whether in the mood for Food, Drinks, a Good Vibe or All of the Above… Park 54 has got...
Read moreResturaunt week visit Started with the corn muffins warm oven fresh and fluffy the cornbread is a canvas for enlightning levels of sweetness with the house honey apple butter and cinnamon. The plating which showcased the flavors had me soping up the powdered sugar and butter.
Appetizer were wings lemon pepper is bright and tasty and the cajun wings have the right amount spices Both flavors tied for first place. Also were fresh crispy and not greasy.
Entrees were a Del Monico bone in ribeye med well. Great sear with good amount of fat for flavor . The texture and temp spot on to my type of medium well and the ribeye was a pleasure must've been nicely marbelized. The color went from a nice dark sear to a non runny, juicy slightly pink center. Salt and house butter profile had me carving the bone for more. Red snapper was a massive 1lb in a golden breading that was light and crispy with a perfect pine apple salsa that had had great texture . The salsa let the snapper be crispy and keep its character. Yet paired well with fish for a solid sweet bite. The snapper tasted salt water fresh and well seasoned.
The sides were mac n cheese and mash potaoes and rice and beans. I asked for gravy for my potatoes. The gravy was amazing. At 1st i thought there was curry in it it had a strong flavor yet after many dips of the finger i was summed it up to being like french onion and au jus sauce . Although i was full I managed to scrape every bit of mash left with that gravy.
The mac and cheese was good the cheese was oven crisp and the mac was not to gooey yet the cheese was nice with some sharpness and good texture and flavor.
The rice & beans were tasty flavorfull with Nice colors on the rice with pinto or red beans. Overall the sides held up to the entrees
The drinks a bajan persuassion barbados mount gay eclipse rum ,creme de cocunut ,pineapple juice ,and blue curaçao. And the other a custom request of passion fruit, titos vodka, and ginger beer. All were strong and good enough to sip and savor . 1st round lasted through out the 1st half of the meal and ordered a second round while finishing off entrees.
Dessert was to go had no more room. Yet it was a warm peach cobbler that smelled so good it was an injustice not to sneak a bite in. Also the red velvet cheescake was layers of redvelvet cake and cheescake topped over each other.
Service it was a busy night and buzzing .i arrived very hungry, waited under 10 min to be seated for my 8pm resevation . Glasses were filled with water shortly after. Thank God since my stomach had nothing in it itbwas much needed. Server was Juceila L pleasant and attentive, and polite . The night seemed pretty busy . I asked someone for my water to be refilled once . Yet as the night winded down the attentive service went up with other staff checking in and water glass was refilled when it was almost empty appreciated.
I got exactly what i was looking for that night which was filling comfort food with flavor to keep my tastebuds asking for more. The staff showcase great energy with a smile and purpose. Overall ...

Great service along with a cozy interior. Wide selection of tempting food and drink options. We will be back to try their other menu options! We started with appertizers. Roasted Cauliflower (we went with Jamaican Jerk Style, they have other seasoning options as well) the cauliflower was delicious!! Crispy Calamari was on point and the Hyde Park Street Corn was a winner! You are also given free Apple Butter Cinnamon Corn Bread Muffins, yum!! For drinks the Prickly Pear Margarita is a 10!! Great presentation with the purple edible flowers and mixed brilliantly. #1 cocktail on our list so far. I was very pleased with my 2 bourbon cocktails. The old Fashioned has a nice orangey sweetness to it and the new trendy Woodspire is a hit, expertly mixed, watch out Kentucky Derby bartenders🙂
For our entrees we had Red Snapper with Mashed Potatoes with a side of gravy and fresh Sauteed Green Beans. Red Snapper was crispy, fresh and oh so delicious. Green beans are a must try and the side of gravy is a must with the mashed potatoes! Fried Pork Chops were crispy, tender and tasty! We asked for gravy on the side. The 2 sides were Mac N' Cheese which was spot on and Candied Yams which weren't super sweet, had like a little lemon zest taste. Next time maybe I'll ask for a side of the apple cinnamon butter! 4 Whole Chicken Wings that were cooked and seasoned perfectly with plenty of meat! The sides we asked for were Sauteed Spinach which was a hit and the Rice and Beans that had a nice flavor. You can get a side of hot sauce to spice it up if you desire too. I personally had the Short Ribs. I pride myself as the "short rib expert." As a young adult I had my favorite restaurant I'd visit multiple times a year for their short rib dinner and when they closed I had to learn how to make them myself. The short ribs here are a must try! The bbq sauce is just sweet enough and I love how they were cooked. The first restaurant I've found in the Boston area in over 20 years since I've been here that satisfied my short rib cravings! My sides were the Candied Yams which I said earlier were a little lemony. Collard Greens were nice and simple the way I like. Cooked perfectly and all the flavors mixed perfectly as well. I added a bit of hot sauce for a little kick.
No deserts as were too full! Next time Rasta Pasta and Oxtails seem like winners to try and maybe a steak option?
Thank you to Eden and Elijah for great service!
I saw some reviewers say it was too loud. We started dining before 6 and the music being played was spot on. I believe a DJ does not start spinning the music until 9. Restaurant/Lounge so I'd expect it to get a little louder after 9 with a younger crowd as it has a nice little patio in the back as well. The prices were spot. With our prior dining experience along with the service and coziness of the restaurant the prices were a...
