It was such a treat to visit the Shelby Museum in Boulder! It is currently in a (relatively) smaller space but there is a lot of really cool history, some AMAZING cars and fun items packed into the space. I encourage you to set aside plenty of time to take it all in. Make sure you talk to the staff! They will tell you all the great stories and remarkable history housed in the space. The staff is very knowledgeable and the stories behind everything really make the experience. And if you haven't seen the movie Ford vs. Ferrari, I suggest watching it before going to the museum. Some elements are not entirely accurate (Hollywood creative liberties :)) but the Shelby staff will teach you the real history and the movie is a good primer to being engaged at the museum. Read moreMe and my family visited on April 1 2023. The cars are really nice to see but its not to many cars and the light quality is not that strong and no windows so it feels all closed in. The entrance fee should only be about $2.00 per person not $5.00 per person that is a rip off for such a small place! Also we missed seeing about 10 cars because they have tours that they give and the people in the tour WOULD NOT MOVE OVER!! Also the tour guide ignored everyone who was telling him can we get by so we missed seeing all those cars and the tour guide should hav moved over so the rest of us cutomers can go by! I want my money back for not being able to see all of this due to the tourguides ignoring a bunch of customers trying to get by to see EVERYTHING! RETRAIN YOUR TOUR GUIDE...
Read moreAbsolutely blown away by this amazing museum, words cannot describe the the treasures here. From the very first Shelby Cobra to Shelby Cobra Mustang #1, many many of the Ford GTs from Mk1 through the modern era, this is a must see for any auto and racing buff. The tour guide had extensive knowledge on the history of each individual car and many great stories from the Shelby racing era of the '60s and onward. The staff is very friendly and has a ton of knowledge. The museum continues to grow and they even have an event space for private parties, plug they have an annual party with many local folks bringing their treasures to show (this year-2024— it is on 8/31l! I of course also had to enter the fundraiser raffle for the 1 of 1 2022 Shelby Heritage Edition...
