12/14/2021 Update:
Disappointing that they continue to be closed for lunch, just open for dinner and the alcohol crowd. Lots of people working from home that have lost this option to order takeout for lunch. Too bad.
Original review: Very good so far. Went twice and each time had the vegetarian burrito with a very good smothered sauce. This place has good value, the food is tasty and you are not overcharged. Only the chips with salsa and guacamole are somewhat expensive with $10 (portion quite small even for one person), but a burrito for $10.50 is well priced.
Also had fish taco's which were very good as well. I highly recommend checking this place out. At this point it is my choice over Murphy's across the parking lot, where I have gone for many years. It is also MUCH better than Tangerine next door which also does lunch, but they don't even have avocado's, only some poorly made guacamole attempt (good for breakfast though, they have Gouda for omelettes).
Update 10/31/2019:
So, I had the Nacho's now. I am really surprised that I have to say this because their Tacos and Burrito's are really good, but the Nacho's are astonishingly terrible. And oddly enough Murphy's across the parking lot makes much better Nacho's that are...
Read moreI was really excited to try this place as I love tacos. I've had tacos from a ton of different restaurants/food trucks in the Boulder/Denver area and this one came up kind of middle of the road for me. The tequila selection looked good and I liked that they use Lunazul for their cheaper cocktails. My paloma was on point. The mezcal selection looks great! Probably the best mezcal selection in Boulder right now. The tacos were pretty good, I had three different kinds and they were all tasty. However, they did not double layer the tortillas on any of the tacos like a lot of mexican/street taco places do so as a result the more moist/liquid tacos broke through the corn tortilla pretty easy. Lastly, the service was off-putting. We had at least 4 or 5 servers/bussers hovering around our 2 top table constantly asking us if we were good, one of whom called my dad, "buddy" who is probably at least 30 years his senior, so that was weird but may just be a personal pet peeve of mine. Our server also only asked one of us if we wanted a drink and then ran off before asking the other person. My review would be 4 stars if it weren't for the service. I plan to come back and try again a few months from now. But for now, I prefer other taco...
Read moreMojo has some of the best Mexican food in Boulder. We definitely hope they open soon for indoor dining again, but we still do takeout regularly. The 3 taco plate + rice / beans is the best price for the quality and quantity around. I mean if you go to Torchy’s you’re going to be paying wayyyy more for something similar. Also, they’ll do lettuce wrapped tacos which is awesome when you’re trying to eat a tad healthier! Otherwise, the regular ol’ street tacos are anything but regular. Try the short rib, fried avocado, gobernador or the Korean beef - so, so good! The avocado salad is a great starter and they’ll split it in two for you if you ask (my husband and I always share it!) & their salsa trio — yum!! There are a lot of food options in Boulder but Mojo’s never disappoints, and is...
