I’m not usually one to complain. I walked in and there were only 2 men quietly sitting alone at tables. I waiting over 5 min and no one came to greet me. I would’ve just left but my kids really wanted Chinese. I then went outside and called. They promptly answered the phone. After taking me order she asked if knew where they were located. I said yes I’m standing outside of your door. We order a few meals and I was shocked how expensive it was but figured it would be delicious. I was wrong! Not one of the meals was any good. Everyone took one bite and that was it. They were grossed out. The noodles were stuck together with squishy vegetables, everything that was fried was basically mush. The fried rice was basically white rice over cooked with a few pieces of egg. Again I’m not one to complain but everything was horrible including the service. When I went back in to pick it up one of the gentleman just sitting there at a table when I first got there, actually worked there and was the one who brought me our order. He watched me stand there looking for someone who worked there and didn’t say a word to me. I thought he was just a at customer. Food was horrible, so was the service, and it was expensive for what we ordered. I should’ve know better when no one was in there at...
Read moreAs a Vegetarian, I love the “all vegan” dinner buffet at Tsing Tao Restaurant. There are so many delicious items to choose from! The vegan buffet is only offered twice a week on Mondays and Thursdays starting at 5:00 PM. Besides Chinese dishes, they also have some other Asian dishes on the buffet, like Thai Basil Eggplant with Tofu n Broccoli, Mongolian “Plant-based Vegan Beef” w/sliced peppers n onions, and Vegetable Tempura, just to name a few. All of these dishes are my favorites. Some of my other favorites are Szechuan Eggplant with Tofu, the Sautéed Bok Choy, Vegan Sesame Balls filled with a lightly sweet bean paste, Fresh Rice Paper Spring Rolls, and the Sautéed String Beans. The Peanut Sauce is the best I have ever had, and I have tried many versions of peanut sauce in my lifetime… there is a nice light coconut taste to it. The owners are very conscious when preparing their vegan dishes, so I feel confident that there is no animal/meat/seafood cross contamination. If the Buffet is not your thing, they also have an extensive vegetarian section and an extensive vegan section on their menu. If you’re looking for the best Chinese Vegan and Vegetarian food in Boulder County, I highly recommend Tsing Tao...
Read moreEat at Tsing Tao at your own risk. After inspecting the buffet, which looked like the food had been sitting there all day and it was completely unappetizing. We decided to order from the menu and I ordered the pad Thai with shrimp. What I got was a pile of stale rice noodles, you could smell the musty, mold that was growing on them, a few pieces of gamey, rubbery shrimp and even less bean sprouts and clumps of egg that were clearly added into the pad Thai later. The supposed pad Thai sauce was all sugar and no tang, I’m sure there wasn’t any palm sugar or tamarind sauce, 2 key ingredients to this dish, in fact there were many important components missing to this poor excuse for pad Thai, so I sent it back because it was inedible. Rarely do I ever send a dish back, nor am I a picky eater, but with every bite of this dish I was getting more and more nauseous (I only had three bites) and I had to send it back. The owners have awful customer service and wouldn’t remove the pad Thai from my bill because he cooked it, worst excuse ever to not refund a dissatisfied customer, so I did not tip them. We are never going back,...
