yesterday at 12:05: horrible service at lunch, waitress/hostess was in kitchen on her phone for at least 10 minutes while I waited ... how do I know? I had to go into the kitchen to get her! She did not take drink order at that time, instead waited on table of 6 next to me ... Brought food and never came back to ask if I needed anything else, so while she was socializing with the table of 6 I asked for some soy sauce ... turned around and gave me a dirty look (hey, I waited until she had taken all their desert orders ... I was on my lunch break for crying out loud) as she walked away I again asked for soy sauce ... she turned around and yelled that I was so rude she was talking with customers (apparently I am chopped liver). That was the final straw, I asked for container and manager (oops forgot to ask for check so had to wait for that). Manager was not in, I went up to bar to pay ... she came out of kitchen for a few seconds and went back in ... I waited ... again. Again I had to go into kitchen and tell her I wanted to pay. Believe it or not, this all took over 50 minutes. I cant believe that waitress. I have waited tables in a previous life and would never treat people that way, there were two other tables of 2, myself, and the table of 6 ... it's not as if she was busy. That being said, the food was delicious, but I will not be returning unless it is to speak with...
Read moreOrdered the "beef stir fry" and got flat noodles that were obviously boiled + steamed vegetables + and bits of "steak" that had zero sear, zero flavor to them + the entire dish was drowned in something that tasted like brown gravy from a bag of Sysco commercial food product. If you Google image search "cambodian stir fry" you will be presented with MANY, MANY, MANY, images of absolutely delicious looking food, and you know what? Not one of them even barely resemble the dish that was served to me tonight. Also, my partner was not served what she ordered, and our respective meals were not brought out at the same time- about a 6 minute gap between my food being dropped off and her sushi arriving. She said her food was very good and seemed satisfied with what she ended up getting anyway but there was nothing "stir fry" about the dish I received tonight. My food was maybe some of the poorest-quality food I've ever been served in a sit down restaurant. Service was completely overwhlmed and it really seemed like they were doing their best, no real complaints about that. But if you are expecting actual Cambodian stir fry when you order stir fry at a Cambodian restaurant then you should definitely...
Read moreFood was good, 3.5-4 out of 5. Nothing was bad about it. However, there was also nothing particularly special about it either. We were the only ones in the restaurant as we got there right when they opened at 3pm and food took over an hour to come out.
Surprisingly the food on the menu is a mixture of Thai, Vietnamese, Japanese, and any Cambodian specific dishes didn’t shine or stick out on the menu.
I enjoyed the lychee cocktail the most from my meal. The Summer rolls (called spring rolls) in their menu were the best thing I ate. But, the peanut sauce served in the side was more of a sweet rice vinegar with peanuts. Not a traditional peanut sauce. The spring rolls (called egg rolls) were tasty but lacked a good condiment such as a sweet chili sauce or anything more traditional Cambodian.
Sushi and entree were both 3.5 out of 5 for me.
Service was a 2 out of 5. Water glasses were out regularly during our hour long wait, waiter didn’t come to check on us often.
Overall likely...
