Boxford House of Pizza — Restaurant in Boxford

TLDR; TWO HOUR WAIT— NO FOOD. On 12/19/21, I had company over and I placed an order online (via Slice) the email was time stamped 5:09pm, with delivery quoted for 5:59-6:14pm for two pasta dinners, CF dinner and chicken kabob sub. Not a difficult order to fulfill. At 6:17pm, I called BHOP 3x to check on the order status, mostly to ensure that they received it. Someone answered the phone on the 3rd call— they asked my address, repeated the street name back to me and said that my order is out for delivery. BHOP is ~10min drive from my home. At 6:50pm, I called repeatedly and the calls went to their voicemail. I contacted Slice, which indicated that the restaurant was not answering the phone either. Slice made me wait until 10min in case the food was out for delivery. Finally, I canceled the order and there was no call back from the restaurant. The one other time this has happened to me (excessive wait time), the restaurant called in a panic saying the food would be there momentarily (it was) because they didn’t want to lose the sale and they were also extremely apologetic for the wait. Not this business, I guess. To the business owner: If you didn’t see the online order on time or couldn’t accommodate it for whatever reason— JUST SAY THAT WHEN THE CUSTOMER CALLS. To tell a customer with hungry visitors that it’s “on its way” when you clearly had no intention of fulfilling the order is just BAD business. Went here for the first time as there is very little variety in Georgetown so pizza shops are it and Sundays most are closed. Switched it up a little bit. Delivery was reasonably timed, but unfortunately they did forget to pack and deliver both dressings one for salad and one for buffalo fingers. Hate to do it but had to call back for them to bring because the best part of buffalo fingers are the blue cheese and I didn’t buy a salad for dry lettuces. They did bring it back within 10 minutes or so but fingers were cold and soggy and salad was luke warm because it was packed in the same box as the rice and fingers. Husband enjoyed a chicken Parm sub. Overall, food was average or a little less than any other sub shop, delivery was timely but experience hindered without being able to...

We ordered our meal through their website. Besides the fact it took over an hour and fifteen minutes to get to us, the meals we received were not prepared as they were said to be in the description. The Buffalo Chicken Wrap I ordered was said to have chicken strips, cheese, lettuce and red onions. I received only chicken, lettuce and tomatoes. No cheese, no onions, and tomatoes I was not expecting to have or wanted at all. The California Dream Salad we ordered did not come with the feta and onions we paid extra for. It was also the size of a side dish but was advertised as a full entree. The pizza we ordered was so well done, even the kids (who eat everything) didn't want anything to do with it.
