I wish I could give zero stars! My wife and I ordered food last night at from Brassero at Brew Gentlemen. Brassero was operating from their store at the opposite end of the block instead of the food trailer. I walked down to order and was informed they were behind and I would have a 15 minute wait. I was ok with the wait time and ordered food and returned to Brew Gentlemen. They said they would bring it to me when ready. 35 minutes later and no food I thought they had forgotten. I walked back over to Brassero to check on my order. The cook was working by himself so I stood at the counter patiently waiting to be waited on again. The cook just ignored me and kept working. There was a lot of food prepared and just sitting on the counter near the cook. After about 5 minutes another employee came running in with to go boxes in hand. They had obviously run out of these boxes and he ran out to get them. This guy loads up food from the counter and hands me what was supposed to be my order. Based on the time I stood there with that food sitting on the counter when I walked in I touched it to check for temperature. The food was extremely cold. Politely I informed these guys the food was cold. The cook looked up from his work and said the food was not cold. I said please check this but it's cold. He told his helper to "just give this guy his money back"! let's recap. I was told 15 minutes delivered to Brew Gentlemen. Waited 40 minutes and had to return to their location to be served cold food! I short explanation and a warm up would have sufficed but instead I get here is your money and there is the door with a big smile on his face. At this point I was more than a little pissed at being treated badly by this vendor so I promptly told him F* You out loud! We left Brew Gentle and went to Superior Motors for better food, better service and a polite staff. My wife and I frequent Brew Gentlemen fairly often. Brew Gentlemen is a cool little business and a great Pittsburgh story however behavior by a vendor that they are associated with and advocate for is not cool. There won't be anymore Weds nights for us...
Read moreThe wife & I found ourselves hungry in Braddock so we went to Google and found a few crazy great reviews on this little gem of a place. When people say things like "I travel to Mexico regularly and this may be the best mole I've ever had" and "I don't really even like to go for Mexican much but after my girl took me to Brassero for dinner I was so blown away that I went back the next day for lunch" it makes a place hard to not check out. The verdict... probably the best chicken & steak tacos we've ever had, plus perfect fresh made chips & best in town guac. The freshness of every ingredient blasts your tastebuds with flavor & fresh habanero sauce takes it to the top. The non-alcoholic, carbonated sangria is a perfect accompaniment. We shared our takeout meal at a small picnic table for two at the local park a few blocks away. 72 & sunny. Just us two with this amazing food, birds chirping & Covid fading. Perfect,...
Read moreAnyone who has ever known me knows that, on a good day, I'm so-so about going out for Mexican food. My girlfriend and I wanted to go out for her last night in town, and we stumbled upon Brassero. I've never changed my mind so quickly in my life. The food was awesome, and so good in fact I came back today for lunch to go before my girlfriend leaves, it was that amazing. The employees are all friendly and frankly great people. The sous chef saw me in an awkward conversation with a sketchy dude I didn't really want to be talking to, and made sure I was alright and not being bothered too much. I wish my photos of the food did them any justice, too, because I only got pictures of the meals I got to go. The plating in the restaurant is top quality. I haven't had anything there yet that I haven't adored. I cannot recommend this place enough if you're even remotely...
