Pagano's Uva Restaurant — Restaurant in Bradley Beach

We had a party here last night . As this was known to the owner that we are a group of fitness instructors who teach “Zumba” so we booked this room according to being dance worthy lol . Anyway we had called to make sure music was able to be played and in case we would bring a speaker that we have . They reassured us the system they have works throughout the room . One side of the rooms speaker was completely broken , which meant the other speaker in the other corner only played half of the song. We were told it was because of our “phone” and it’s not compatible and that we don’t have a DJ. They were very defensive about everything! I also brought a cute disco ball and all I got was “ in not liable for someone tripping on that” how about wow that’s nice and let’s find a spot that works !? I mean every little thing was a problem. We asked for the manager several times , never once did they check on us and told us later that night when we insisted to speak to them that they were never aware of our concerns. Big problem that the staff doesn’t alert the management . Our experience was an absolute bother. The bartender and server had an attitude from the start. This was a holiday party and they were the grinches. Telling our guests they been there since 5am and they are tired and want to go home .. Taking our plates before we were finished and rushing us out. It was as if everything was a bother and constant eye rolls and huff and puffs for asking anything. I get better servers from a diner in which that personality is expected . The food was good , the room is beautiful but this place did not hold up on there end to create a great , happy experience. They would have repeat business and annual parties if they just acknowledged us. When we went to pay our bill the server came down to say so your paying with them not us . Yes of course because we wanted to speak to a manager and rather give the money straight to them while we talk to him/her. This was so embarrassing as our guests were leaving at this time and it just made it seem like a big issue . Our friend asked for a lemoncello shot and was told it’s downstairs and not in this bar and she had no time to get it. Who says that ?? There staff in the kitchen even came to watch us dance to half a beat and no words to music, we were just trying to have a good time . I wish they didn’t make us feel if we were trying to get some kind of discount . We just want then to know how we felt . Dismissing us was not the way to go and to give us a $30 gift card as if we would come...

If your skin color doesn't match with the other diners avoid this place. It doesn't matter if you dress properly or anything

Here is a quick summary: Asked bar tender working in the tiki area where to sit since couldn't find the host. It took 7 minutes to get menus to order from where she picked from one table and gave to us no wiping down menus. -Waitress waited two mins asked us what we wanted I asked her what are the cocktails since menu doesn't show them. Thinking sperate menu she told me walk across to tiki bar -tiki bar bartender was confused he showed me the menu informing me normally waitress will tell me how to order. He noticed something was off as well. -ordered food, my wife asked if a meat sauce can be switched to a different sauce waitress said NO. -Our food arrived my filet steak potatoes were meager not like the the table next to mine. -When we finished our food, not being asked if we want refills on drinks or refill on water. We waited 10 mins till we flagged down a different waitress. Who got our waitress. -waitress dropped the bill on the table without even saying a word to us

I get how people can have a bad day, but I also noticed that the people near me were treated with respect, didn't have to walk to tiki bar and the same waitress checked on them attentively. I ended up leaving a 5 dollar tip and writing bad service. This is the first time I was treated so badly at a restaurant I am very polite as I know how strenuous these jobs typically are, but...

The service at this restaurant was embarrassing. We were ignored form the start. I complained to the hostess to get a waitress to take our order after being seated for 45 min and then offered to leave if our food was not brought out. We spent 2 hrs there before getting served. The other tables around us had their food and they arrived after us. The waitress told us that a big party came in and the kitchen refused to prepare our order until they were done. Give us break. You lost our order or did not care enough. Come to a table and offer an apology, an appetizer on the house, anything for customers that have waited way beyond normal. This establishment does none of that, nor do they apologize. It’s not like we ordered a pizza. We had wine and ordered from their dinner menu. Ever the hostess agreed it was unfair and wrong. Why then did she or the owner’s not step in, or the waitress come to us? I ordered the 10-scallop dinner which had 4 scallops. We’ll never...
